Today Sunday 25 January we went to Bossa Meerendal for a light lunch at 12 noon. The service was good and the food arrived quite quickly. My friend ordered the Rump salad and I had the chicken and avocado salad. The chicken looked like processed chicken pieces from a tin and there were pieces of ham as well. It was never the less quite tasty. Afterwards I started feeling nauseous and by 6pm I started vomiting chunks of chicken salad. I wonder if anyone else had the same experience? The chicken was definitely off although with the honey mustard dressing I couldn't taste anything was wrong.

Shockingly bad service. Food was dry and overcooked. Got wine glasses for the champagne and wine glasses for the sparkling water.. Iam done time to look for another restaurant in Durbanville

Worst service I have had at a Bossa. We ordered 3 burgers. Supposedly "The Best in Town". The one of the burgers that arrived at the table was the wrong one and had mushrooms. When we complained the waiter asked "Are you allergic to mushrooms or should I bring another?" We asked for the correct burger and waited 20 minutes while burgers were served to other tables and we finished the burgers that we already had. I complained to the manager who said she would check on the replacement burger. 5 minutes later the burger came out and it was with a single patty where it was meant to be a double patty. I complained again and after a further 5 minutes the burger arrived. However, clearly not the "Best burger in town." Will be hard pressed to come to this Bossa again.

Bossa Meerendal has the friendliest staff with a relaxed/romantic environment. 3 of the staff members immediately recognised us upon entering and started singing a 'welcome back family song' 🤗 we received super awesome service everytime we visited and there food never disappoints. Shout out to Tspho our favourite waiter 😎

Bossa Meerendal has the friendliest staff with a relaxed/romantic environment. 3 of the staff members immediately recognised us upon entering and started singing a 'welcome back family song' 🤗 we received super awesome service everytime we visited and there food never disappoints. Shocking that this restaurant is still in operation. We tried to make a booking for a special event - calling, emailing and till today, no feedback. Secondly, service is just not there. Waiters are not trained properly and service way too slow. Your prices are high. Pls, dont serve cheap products to me. Your icecream is the worse kind of icy cream you can find. This should not be on a menu. Doubt if you will see us again. Its just not enjoyable to eat there any more. Venue is lovely, service and food lacks.

On the 18th of May, we celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday. A reservation was made in April 2024, payment for deposit was made on the 26th of April. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and efficient staff and our meal were not half bad either. At the end of our dinner, payment was split and it was at this point where our beautiful experience started to turn to somewhat of an unpleasant adventure. As it was your staff that could not pick up the funds for the deposit. What a shocker that such a large entity could not find the allocated amount. The back and forth conversation between us resulted in me, bearing in mind that I was the customer, no favour was given to me and all that mattered was that your books balanced at the end of the night. In fear of public humiliation and embarrassment I ended up paying my bill and leaving without my initial payment. I have provided all necessary information that proves that I paid and apparently the accountant was going to check on Monday the 20th and I would be refunded within 24 to 48 hours. It has been 148 hours and I have still not received any payment. I have called numerous times during last week but the staff kept saying that the accountant processed the refund but nothing appeared. I called the restaurant today and was at advised that the accountant was in today and he would do an immediate payment and asked for the proof of payment, guess what still received no proof. I was planning to have my son’s birthday at your venue but I guess that’s a NO from me.

Amazingly bad service!!!! A celeb - Springbok player was there. Staff - all - decided to rather tend to him - cause why not - I mean why would us normal people count. Took 30 minutes to get milkshakes. Beer was flat. When I got my food the sides were missing - got them 10 minutes later. 2 waiters to settle the bill for the ‘celeb’ Then mentioned to waitress when we paid - still waiting for the manager to address our complaints. Go bokke!!!
