We purchased our Megamaster through Onlinebraaishop in November 2024. Even though the smoker was standing under cover and we only used it 3 times, it started rusting after 2 months. I complained to Onlinebraaishop and they tried their best with Megamaster. My brother and his partner that did advertising for Megamaster even asked for help and submitted the photographs with no luck. The people from Onlinebraaishop eventually sent me feedback from Megamaster saying that we didn't follow the instructions properly even though we did. We are extremely disappointed.

I bought a Traverse Portable braai with tongs, fish grid and large foil roasting trays. The delivery was quite fast, 2 days (18 Dec). But they sent a different much cheaper braai, the tongs and fish grid, not the foil roasting trays. I contacted them immediately, I was asked to send an email so they can replace it which I did the next morning as the delivery company will do last deliveries on 24 Dec. I haven't received any correspondence, I have been calling but there is no answer, it is now Monday 22 Dec.

Originally this review was going to be a negative one, however one person turned it around 180 degrees. My megamaster 6 burner braai needed replacement burners and the original ones burnt out, but the type my braai uses are not available anywhere instore so I sent an email to Megamaster customer care to find out where I could get the correct burners. Despite the fact that I received an automated response saying I would be contacted shortly I waited 3 weeks without any response before I called the number on the web site, where I was cut off 3 times. At this stage I was angry and ready to tell everyone never to buy a megamaster product because spares are not available and customer service non existant. I then tried one last time an spoke to a lady by the name on Johanna Fontini who was friendly, helpful and was able to assist in a speedy, knowledgeable, efficient an professional manner which turned the experience around completely and restored my faith in the company despite the initial experience. In less than a week the new, and most importantly, correct, burners were delivered to my door. The professionalism and efficiency delivered by Johanna was enough for me to justify giving a 5 star rating for her service. Thank you Johanna.

I seriously think Megamaster should upgrade their Quality Control Manager. I purchased a Megamaster gas braai on Saturday, it was in fact an engagement present for my daughter who got engaged on Saturday. I bought the braai, went home and immediately stated to assemble the product. I was so close to finishing and then noticed that they had packed to of the same items which caused me not to finish. I then proceeded to the engagement venue empty handed. I then made contact with Makro from whom I had bought it and was told that they would take it back but I had to return it in the same condition and had to disassemble it and place the contents in the box. Now you can imagine how angry I was. I was then informed by Makro that it wasn't the first time this was reported to them with the exact same packing fault. I was not a happy customer and sincerely hope that Megamaster looks into this!

Towards the end of March 2025, I started to enquire if Megamaster had spares for a Bosca Firepoint fireplace that was several years old and needed repairs well before winter. Well, it is now the 11th June 2025 and after supplying the incorrect items, I am still waiting for them to collect the incorrectly supp**** items and to pass a credit. Thank goodness I have been able to repair the fireplace with items supp**** by others. If I had to rely on Megamaster for spares, I would be in the cold.

1st time shopping on this website. Registration went quick and easy. I ordered 3 Flame Tamers for my gas braai insert, which arrived in record time! Ordered 15th May 2025 on the website and delivered 19th May 2025 (in Mpumalanga). Thank you for the fast delivery! The items fitted perfectly!

Three times now, I've sent Emails and submitted a request on their website for assistance with parts I require for my fireplace, and absolutely ZERO response. Nothing! Nada! If I did not already have a Megamaster fireplace, I definitely would not invest in one. Numerous places sells their fireplaces, so one would expect them to have a decent support structure, but NOOOOOOOO! I's like talking to the hand!
