I have received a notification from iMile Logistics for payment of Customs Duty and VAT on my Ali Express import order. The item I ordered does not have any import duties and onlu VAT at 15% of Value x 110% should be payable. They have charged me almost DOUBLE the amount they should have. There is also no transparency on what the charges are made up of. Customers should be able to get a breakdown of the charges on a valid invoice from the logistics company.
I phoned iMile Logistics who informed me that I must contact Meilli Logistics, who does the clearing. iMile Logistics could not give me a contact number for Meille Logistics, even though Meille Logistics does the clearing on behalf of i Mile Logistics (do you also smell a rat here?). There is no direct contact phone number available for Meilli Logistics and they do not repsond to emails sent to their email address. Furthermore, I believe that iMile Logistics purposely refuses to give out Meilli Logistics' contact number as there are probably many customers with this same problem. I have now reached out to Ali Express to get this issue resolved. Most customers probably just end up paying the ridiculous amounts levied by this shady logistics company. I will claim my refund from Ali Express for the full purchase price if this issue is not resolved.
Imagine how much money is being ****** from unsuspecting customers by this ********* logistics company. This should be stopped immediately.
