After 24 Years of loyal customer - I walk away…they have lost their touch

Got my first pair of glasses from Mellins in 2002 and have been a loyal customer for 24 years. They were always the best and I have been so happy. Till my last visti to their branch in Richardsbay. Optom was good, friendly and efficient. I got new frames and also a 2nd pair prescription sunglasses. They did all the quotes and I paid in full. They advised glasses will be there in 2-3 weeks. Following up and making calls to them, i was told they would get back to me never returned my calls. I found the email and started emailing them to enquire. 5 weeks later after numerous calls and emails I was informed that glasses arrived. Then I was advised I no longer qualify for the discount we agreed to originally and gave me another bill for R2000+. after so many years with them and 100 oke thousands of rands spent with them this experience was the worst ever. Mellins has lost their touch with clients and doubt I will be back. If you considering using them…stay away and avoid the disappointment!!
