Half dead flowers from Melrose Arch Flower Market

My boyfriend wanted to surprise me with a bouquet of flowers for a very special occasion and he went to Melrose Arch Flower Market. He paid R1100 for a huge arrangement in a very large vase. When I received the arrangement I noticed immediately that most of the flowers were on their last legs. Everything was crammed into the vase which had dirty cellophane at the bottom and no plant food. It arrived at lunchtime on Monday and by Tuesday morning mostly everything was dead. We were both extremely disappointed and felt very ripped off. We took the flowers back and they gave us a new arrangement which was definitely better and fresher but still a bit of old greenery had been added. If their flowers are not fresh they really should advise the customer and allow them to decide. We will not buy from them again and although they did rectify the situation the whole experience was unpleasant. We will not recommend them either.

Given the times we are living in service should be of the highest standard and customers should not be ripped off, it leaves a very bad taste.
