They don't even deserve the 1 star. Bought units & I got 1000 units with numbers 12345678 repeated and written TEST UTILITY. Called I couldn't load them. Was told I punched in wrong meter no. Fine, than you guys return the units since the "wrong meter number" won't get them. They say, no it will be a loss to us, HOW WHEN NO ONE IS ABLE TO USE THOSE UNITS, LIKE THEY ARE FLOATING!!! OK, get me the contact of that meter no. No, we don't know them they are not on our scheme 😏like how when our meter numbers are just different by the last digits. No, we can't help, we don't know them case close.Also I didn't even know R500 voucher gives you 1000 units actually as per sms of units numbered 1234567890 I got. So we are being ****med really . So now I am stuck with units that don't work for me and I can't trace the owner of meter so I can give them 1000 units I have 🤣😂🤣😂lucky guy.

After moving in to my new place I was struggling with my meter number,I called on the 2nd and again on the 17th,they couldn't help me both agents i spoke with,long waits on the calls and still my issue wasn't resolved.Until on the 24th I called the lady was assisting me was very kind and she went extra mile to help me, she resolved my issue in one day,her name was ALICIA. ALICIA sweet darling thank you so much for your help,she cares about her clients and she's hands on,that girl is a hardworker and she deserves a raise really...God bless your beautiful soul sweet darling...

This company has an utter disregard for their clients and they have no proper means to contact them.We have unable to purchase prepaid electricity vouchers online on banking apps and at physical brick and mortar outlets and this has been going on since Friday the 10 October 2025 until today 14 October 2025 this company remais unreachable on their listed contacts...

I have experienced repeated issues with not being able to purchase electricity; this is now the third time it has happened. Each time I’ve called for assistance, the staff have been rude, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to provide solutions. The lack of accountability and support is unacceptable. I would not recommend meter mate at all, as their service is consistently unhelpful and unreliable.

Extremely Dissapointing!! Nothing but frustration and dissatisfaction with meter mate. Their device and service is unreliable. Constantly giving errors . Their contact numbers stay unreachable. Every call centre number states it does not exist when called. When you finally get through the help is unprofessional and unhelpful. Call gets cut. You . I’m on day 3 with no help . No gas to cook or hot water to shower 😡😡 Absolutely appalling., Resorted to using their WhatsApp number and still no response . Still waiting on a callback from Tanika.I do not recommend meter mate to anyone . It has been a complete disappointment.

Only because there’s no zero star. They grossly over charge. Bought R1000 electricity and only got 74 units. They charged a service fee of R845.54. Would never ever recommend them 😡😡😡😡😡

Only because zero star doesn’t exist. Grossly overcharges. How is an admin fee around R416 monthly ??🤮🤮😡😡😡 and if there’s no network connection you’ll walk around with meter trying to load token.

The Meter Mate keypad and the PLC has no connection and the error I received was ' PLC ERROR ". Then I called Meter Mate call centre for help from Friday ( 14/06/2025 ) . I am staying at REEF ACRES Cin Krugersrus in Springs and the service I received from the call centre was very poor and unprofessional. All the agents I talked to promised me to call me back after 10 minutes which never happened. It is winter and my appliances including the fridge are off. My fridge groceries got spoiled and still now there is no help from them. I am without electricity in this cold winter weather and I think this is how they treat their clients and customers. Everything I call they take my contacts number and promise to call back in 10 minutes which never happened. But I am sure that because they are not in the cold like me because of an mere PLC ERROR with their system, they don't care. With my experience I will never use the METER MATE for my personal use or recommend them to anyone I know.. TERRIBLE SERVICE EVER.
