⚠️ Complaint & Warning – Midvaal Precast Walling ⚠️ We paid Midvaal Precast Walling to put up walls at our property. The walls were supposed to be installed in November 2025, but they only arrived in December. The agreed price was R30,000, of which R28,200 was already paid as a deposit. When they eventually came, the wall was only about 90% completed. Within just two days, after a small amount of wind, the wall collapsed completely. On inspection, it was clear that: • The material quality was extremely poor – the slabs broke into pieces • The poles were not planted deep enough in the ground After the wall fell, Midvaal Precast Walling could not give us a date to come and fix or complete the job. We were left with an open and unsecured property, which was unacceptable. Because of the constant excuses and lack of urgency, we had no choice but to get another contractor in. That’s when we clearly saw how shallow the poles had been planted. We then hired Groenwald Beton, who was professional, reliable, and did excellent work. I would recommend Groenwald Beton any day to anyone in the Vaal Triangle area. This post is to warn others to be very careful before using Midvaal Precast Walling. Our experience was extremely disappointing and costly.

I obtained quotations for block type precast walls and a palisade gate from three walling companies, and decided to use Midvaal Precast Walling and Palisades not only as they were the cheapest, but because they promised completion within no more than 3 weeks from deposit date. So, as they very kindly provided the building contractor with on site water at no charge, we paid them in full on 10th of November 2022. However, despite several unkept commitments and promises, they only commenced work several weeks later, and arrived with slat instead of block type panels, denying that we had even asked for block type panels (despite having mailed us photos there-of). By that time we needed the property to be secured, so we begrudgingly accepted the slat type panels. After holes along one wall were dug and 2 layers of panels installed, they failed to return. Only after numerous, mostly ignored, phone calls and WhatsApps did work again commence and holes on the opposite wall dug. Never were we informed or arrangements made for them to work on site, and we only became aware of their presence as a result of the shouting and noise made by their workers. But, once the holes had been dug, they thankfully failed to return, which afforded me the chance to discover that the holes had not been dug along the boundry. After numerous failed attempts to contact them, I instructed them to remove their property and refund me. This resulted in a site meeting where I was able to point out their error and, after arguing and denial on their part, new holes were dug along the actual boundry. However the existing holes were left open. Eventaully, despite many unfullfilled commitments and promises, they completed on the 13th of February 2023 (more than 13 weeks after the payment date), but the quality of materials and workmanship is inferior in my opinion. For example, many of the uprights are skew, there are gaps between the panels, the gate is constructed of the absolutely lightest material possible, the welding is virtually non existant and looks like bird droppings, and the brackets are raw unpainted steel which have begun to rust. Each and every time that they have worked on site, we have had to clean up the litter in the form of plastic bags, packets, and cooldrink bottles, that their workers left on site. To add insult to injury, they removed a brand new 2400 litre JoJo tank from site without my consent. When I asked for it to be returned, I was informed that they had dropped it resulting in 2 fist size holes in the side, and they refuse to replace it, resulting in my having to take legal action against them. So, should I again require a pre-cast or palisade wall or gate, I will most definitely not consider using, or recommending, Midvaal Precast Walls and Palisades.

This so-called walling company took over a year to put up a basic 325-meter 6-foot wall up and they never finished the job. Once they have your money, they ignore your calls and when you finally get hold of them, they always have an excuse. I wouldn't trust them to put 2 pieces of Lego together. As for their workmanship it is pathetic. Use them at your peril.
