Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the 4 Stars

I had high expectations for Milkwood Manor Hotel, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of what a 4-star establishment should offer.

Firstly, the restaurant was inexplicably closed during my stay. A key reason for choosing a hotel with a restaurant is the convenience of dining on-site. The lack of this essential service was not communicated beforehand, which left me scrambling for alternatives.

Secondly, the room lacked basic amenities. There were not enough towels provided, which is an inexcusable oversight for a supposedly premium hotel. Guests shouldn’t have to request something as standard as towels – these should be readily available.

On top of this, there was virtually no service to speak of. Staff were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to guests' needs. Simple requests went unanswered, and there was a general lack of attentiveness throughout my stay.

While the property itself may look appealing at first glance, the poor management and lack of services significantly diminish its value. Milkwood Manor is far from deserving of its 4-star rating, and I cannot recommend it to anyone expecting even a basic level of comfort and service.
