I went to Milnerton municipality on Thursday to apply for reduction on rates for the over 60's earning less than R 17500.I am getting UIF so they needed confirmation that I was getting UIF.I asked the clerk if there is a form for UIF and she said there was no form.I went to UIF offices in Goodwood to be told that the municipality must give me a form, even showed me what form looked like.Went back to Milnerton municipality and told them what municipality required.They once more told me there was no form they could give me.Even the manager told me there is no form.On my way back to UIF I decided to stop at the Goodwood municipality.There the lady behind the counter immediately gave me the form.Went to UIF office and was sorted out.What a waste of my time,petrol, standing in long queues because of untrained, incompetent staff. .

Water bill shot up yo over R4500 end of last year with one person in the house . Reported to municipality and they advised to call out leakage detectors .... did everything and paid all for 3 call outs . Then they said we need to have the meter checked , paid the R933 22 nov . Said it would take 2-3 weeks . Called in December , they said nothing was actions because staff were on leave . Called , as advised on 29 Jan and still nothing has transpired and they cannot say why no action has been taken . In the mean time we have to pay the exorbitant amount every month .
