The owner of the townhouse I was renting passed away and my lease came to an end with Mimi's Real Estate and after about 2 years of not having a lease the executor of the estate gave me notice to move out and that there would be no claim against me. I contacted Mimi's Real Estate to advise her that I had been given notice and to find out when I would be paid my deposit. Once I have received my deposit, I saw that she had paid me R3863.00 short. Her reason for the short pay was: 1. For a fine that I had received for my dog making a noise but the body corporate did not follow the correct process and Mimi's Real Estate was told not to pay it. Keeping in mind that I only moved into the townhouse because Mimi's Real Estate confirmed that I could have a dog. 2. My toilet was broken from the previous tenants, and I had to fix it, so I held back the rent and advised Mimi's Real Estate who then told me to pay for the fixing and take it off the rent which I did but then I get charged interest for late payment. 3. If I am given notice to move out how can Mimi's Real Estate take off a R2000 cancellation fee. I contacted the rental tribunal for assistance and OH MY WORD that was useless.

What an amazing experience!! Thank you so much to MIMI'S REAL ESTATE for all the care and guidance! Dwyne has alot of patience and answers all questions, irrespective of whether it is a silly one. They are accommodating and helpful in every way. We will definitely be sticking with them for when we move to a new house. Keep up the amazing work and service, we couldn't be happier!

Mimi responded to my request to view a property very promptly. Dwyne then assisted us with an application the very same day and approved us. They respond to every query (even when in hospital or very late at night). They really are the best and we highly highly highly recommend the team to anyone looking to buy/sell/rent!!!

I first though hey these stories i heard is all bull and seemed to be very helpfull seeing they allowed us to move in and pay off the deposit. The place was left in a state wich not even pugs stay in and then i had to struggle to get plumbing and thing so we can at least live. After that they came to paint and left the place horiffic we spend 2 days cleaning once again. When we stayed in number 44 the owners son which i know from working together previously came past and i was busy outside on my personal speaker box and we spoke and it came up that we need a place with little more space he said he has place and showed us. And within a mont they wanted to give us a warning for noise, maintenance on my car i disputed as no grounds for it and and no rule against anything i have done and other allegations were not investigated just taken as truth and so many other tenants bul**** and fined a R1000 per complaint by mawer and delport for reasons i cant confirn is valid or not. We had to move out earlier and gave more notice than legally required. Now still waiting for deposit. They claiming that the deposit can only be paid back after the utility bill wich is paid in arrears is been recieved from mawer and delport. Wich is also ******* and law states 7 days no reapairs and 14 latest with repairs. Its been 26 days. Please dont ever put yourself through this. Will update as soon as i hear from housing tribunalu

Stay Away from this Place!!!!! We moved out on the 1st of March 2022 in a unit we rented from Mimi's Real Estate. We were promised our Deposit back in the first 2 weeks of April and have still not received it back, When you phone them or send a Whatsapp you get ignored most of the Time and when they answer they are extremely Rude and SWEAR at you because you want to know where your Deposit is. When they needed their Rent and Deposit they were very Friendly but now when they need to pay you back they run away and swear at you. They tell you that they will pay the money back the next day and this is everyday's story.

Dwyne Laurie was very helpful with helping us find a wonderful home. We were able to sign the contract within hours of seeing the house. Very diligent with explaining all the different terms and making sure we understood every part of the lease.

Today I just want to thank Mimi from Mimi's Real Estate for assisting us during this Covid-19 period. She always went the extra mile and negotiate with the Landlord to keep our rental the same. When we had any problem we felt we could approach you at any time and you would gladly assist, if it was possible for you to do so. Mimi you are truly a blessing to us and we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
