Scores reflect the Overall AI Score for each category
Based on recent customer reviews, Mr Price Sport faces severe and systemic customer experience failures across virtually every touchpoint. Online order fulfilment is described as chaotic with orders lost in transit for weeks. In-store service is frequently described as rude and dismissive. Refund processes are painfully slow, and product quality complaints surface regularly. The few positive mentions highlight individual staff members who deliver warm, helpful service, but these are rare exceptions to an overwhelmingly negative pattern.

On 29 November 2025, I purchased tights for R299 at Mr Price Sport in Ferndale. I was instructed to make a second payment after being told the first transaction had failed, despite the payment having successfully gone through on my side. When no refund was reflected, I returned to the store the following day and was informed that I needed to provide a bank statement as proof that the amount had not been refunded. I consider this request to be an unnecessary invasion of my privacy. Despite this, I provided the statement and was assured the matter would be followed up on. It is March now, and no action, feedback, or resolution has been provided. This matter has been unreasonably delayed and remains unresolved.

On February 21, 2026, my family and I had a distressing experience at Mr Price Clearwater while shopping on the upper level near Mr Price Sports. We were unexpectedly approached by a woman who inquired if we had seen her phone. After we informed her that we had not, she accused us of taking it, citing our proximity to her and her friend while browsing clothes. Despite our offer to have our bags searched, she refused and instead suggested that we might have hidden her phone somewhere in the store or even concealed it within our own phones. We repeatedly urged her to involve the store staff or security to conduct a search, but she declined and resorted to insults before speaking with a staff member. We continued to request that the staff search us to clear any suspicion, but they informed us that they were waiting for security to arrive. The woman eventually left the store, and we reiterated our request to the staff, feeling that we were not being treated equitably as Mr Price customers. It seemed that the other party was afforded more respect and privilege, possibly due to our skin color. We also asked if the security cameras could be checked, only to be told that there were none. This incident was profoundly disappointing and embarrassing, and it could have been managed more effectively by the staff at Mr Price Clearwater.

I ordered and paid for 12 kit bags online on 4 Feb. The delivery date on the system says 11 Feb. The parcel cannot be tracked as the courier system is not the correct courier company. I have phoned 3 times and told the matter would be 'escalated' to the courier company and I would be emailed with an explanation. No email. I have tried to email the 'support' email on the website - no reply. At one stage I was asked if I could go into the Tygerberg shop in CT and collect them. I live in Knysna, 500km away. One lady got very rude and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was placed on endless hold. It's now 20 Feb, almost 3 weeks after ordering - still no explanation, no resolution, no kit bags. I've now ready many similar stories on HelloPeter - what is going on with Mr Price, a 'trusted' brand????!!! Where are my bags? If you can't get them to me, then you must refund my money. You can't just ignore this and hope it goes away!! You have taken my money and not supp**** the goods in exchange, which is *******.

What a terrible service I received from Mr Price Sport Online. I purchased an item online more than a week ago and I haven't received my order. They promised that it will take 5 - 7 working days for the item to be delivered but I have not received it. I have been calling them but I am not getting any positive response. Regards, Mr. A Koom

I placed my online order on 02-Feb-2026, and I still have not received my order. After contacting the customer care center a lot of times, every time I was told they will contact the courier and find out. Still waiting for someone to get back to met. Per Whatsapp call center the lady provided the courier's contact number, which was incorrect and I had to find the number myself. Got hold of the courier company and the address completed on the wabel was incorrect....I entered the correct address and contact details with my order. So please tell me how Mr.Price Sport can so royally mess up and not follow up when a delivery has not been made.

Online order placed on 2 Feb for delivery to a store not yet at the store on 13 Feb. Compared to all other businesses selling online this is pathetic. No assistance whatsoever from their help desk or the whatsapp tracking system except to keep on saying the parcel is in transit. Not good enough when other companies are giving awesome service.
