It would be great [not to mention less time wasting] if the picture and the description of items on MSL Security Products’ web site were the ACTUAL products that they are selling.
On 21 February, I requested a quotation for an alarm transformer with an external fuse as shown and described as the one on MSL Security Products web site. In my quote I specified: “Please make sure that the transformer that you are quoting for is the one as advertised with the external fuse.”
I received the quote.
Before paying for the item, I once again asked: “Before I make the payment, could you please confirm that the transformer that you are sending me [stock item] is exactly like the one on your web site - with an external fuse." And I attached a "screen dump" from their web site with the picture and description of the item.
I got an email from [no name given] with a picture attached and stating: “It has the external fuse. If you look at the image provided the codes are the same.” INCREDIBLY, the picture which was attached showed a transformer WITHOUT THE EXTERNAL TRANSFORMER. Totally contrary to the statement made in THE SAME EMAIL.
Fortunately, I took the trouble to double check that I would be getting the exact item advertised.
What a waste of time! But fortunately, not a waste of my money.
