On 22 January 2024 Conlog technicians dispatched by the Msunduzi Municipality came out to my residential property to install a new electricity meter. I had a 40 amp meter. They installed the meter and left. Thereafter I noticed my monthly electricity bill is much higher than what i usually pay. Upon analyzing my bill I noticed that Msunduzi Municipality is charging me for 60 amps. I was furious and went to their offices and they indicated that Conlog had installed 60 amps, this without my knowledge. I did not request 60amps as I do not need it. I asked Msunduzi Municipality to correct this and to date nothing has been done. I called Conlog to complain and the lady indicated that someone will call me back. Its the 24th June 2024 and to date nobody has called back. Msunduzi is charging me for 60amps and they have not come out to install 30amps as per my request. My request is being totally ignored by Msunduzi Municipality staff. I want Conlog to take full responsibility for this *****ulent behaviour and I need to be compensated in full for all that I have paid for 60amps since installation. I will have no choice but to take legal action against Conlog and Msunduzi Municipality with legal costs paid by Conlog/Msunduzi Municipality if my complaint is not resolved this week. It seems that there is some irregular activity taking place between Conlog and Msunduzi Municipality and Msunduzi customers are the unfortunate victims to this.
