They deserve 0 stars.They don’t care about the residents of the city,they deliberately switch off the lights and when you call the call centre,if you’re lucky they will answer only to tell you that the night shift staff will fix the problem. Weeee 3 days without electricity and we’ve been phoning without any response. Our fridges are leaking and the food is spoiled but as always,they don’t care. Terrible service from them they are estimating our lights for months and they are declining my partners indigent even though he earns around 4000 a month and charging us ridiculous fees for lights without proper readings and we requested for new meter they installed it and still estimating us not even reimbursing our money. They even want to disconnect us for amounts that we are not even using. We have a small 2 bedroom home and everytime we go no one wants to assist us they make us run around like we Stupids. That’s the service we getting from them. We must pay for amounts we not using it’s daylight *******. Is there anyone that can help us pls do contact me or I’m going to the newspapers with this

Pathetic municipality Call center dysfunctional. 0 STARS IS TO GOOD FOR THEM Looks like it's manned by ghosts, as no one takes your calls they overcharge you on your electricity and then refuse to answer your call to sort it out, but come month end they are quick to disconnect you and then still have the audacity to charge you for reconnection when the problem is their fault every month the same thing over and over and over , GET PEOPLE THET WANT TO WORK AND HAVE ATLEAST THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO ANSWER A PHONE

******* not collected for 6 consecutive weeks despite phoning the call centre each week. I have been charged for refuse collection in February but did not receive this service at all. That is *****. The service delivery in Pietermaritzburg is non existent.

Yesterday a lady in a blue uniform came to my gate saying she was an auditor for Msunduzi Municipality and wanted readings for electricity and water. I said we submit a photo of the meter every month on the 6th She said no she wanted photos of the box inside and out. I said you can't come in because you have no ID. She said I am wearing a blue uniform. I went to the box with her phone and took two pics. She was eating her lunch and a chocolate bar while she waited for me. When I gave her back her phone her lunch was finished and she threw the lunch bag and chocolate paper on my otherwise very clean verge. Maybe I should have told her to pick them up but she would only have thrown them down on the next house verge. No wonder Maritzburg is filthy if their employees thrown their ******* where they stand.

We had a very good experience at the Msunduzi Municipality offices at AS Chetty building today. Staff were helpful and friendly, queues were short and we were all done inside of 30 minutes. Thank you Sanelisiwe Mdolomba for your ready and capable assistance 😉😊

In Eldorado Place, Prestbury, Pietermaritzburg (just off Stott Road) we have had no electricity since before 22h00 last night - it has now been 14 hours and all attempts to call the Electricity Faults line have been fruitless - no-one answers the phone (Tue 05/11/2024)

This place do not answer there phones. They want money from us the consumer but don't assist anybody but there else. Has there number have no clue. This is a very bad situation for anybody. Services are not rendered.
