About 8 years ago I had a Power of Attorney to my son drawn up at Nedbank Cascades Branch PMBG. I was ill and have been since then with a serious condition. The only time I leave the house is to visit the Dr or a hospital admission. I have intravenous medication 365 day a year at home. I have difficulty walking. After a stressful encounter with an online ****mer recently I asked Nedbank to block my account. She said to unblock it my son would have to invoke my Power of Attorney at a branch. he tried and now they say I have to go myself. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF doing it 8-9 years ago?? Seems the form has changed. They are as like Home Affairs now. I am furious. If I had the strength I would change to another bank.
This is the second time DPD has let me down recently. I have waited today expecting a parcel and just received an sms from them saying they can't deliver today. A wasted day for me and likely another tomorrow. Unfortunately with online shopping the customer doesn't get to decide the courier. DPD are very slack. I shop at Amazon South Africa and deliberately choose items for the next day. DPD sent me an sms some time back saying they couldn't deliver that day-it was late, so I went to bed. However they did come AFTER 8pm and my son took the parcel. It just isn't good enough.
I have always had DSTV though changed packages up and down over the years. A month ago I upgraded one package up. We get an email today saying I am disconnected. After much time and bother my son gets to find out that I am in arrears R189. I phoned DSTV and after much time again, she says she can debit my account with that amount which she did-all good except the decoder still didn't work and again after 2 long phone calls to DSTV she says I owe R49 for PVR, but its too late to do it today-was 3.15. She said she will do it tomorrow. I find now that I cannot even use the pause button! I have never had this problem before-they always adjust the discrepancy to another package, in the following debit order. Why do they complicate things so?? I have had DSTV for as long as I can remember. Where are their heads?
I bought some extra lean mince from Woolworths recently for my daughter to make meat*****. It was so full of brine that she couldn't brown them. The meat***** sat in the pan in an inch of water that eventually she had to pour it off. No other liquid had been added to the mince mixture-it was disgusting. It had not happened before. Woolworths don't rip us off.....
I did an online order on the 6th. Woolworths said delivery date 9th-13th. Fine. Then I received a notice to say the 13th. Yesterday received an SMS to say delivery would be 'by the 9th'. What does that mean -the 8th?? I waited and kept checking the site which said repeatedly NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON TRACKING. How and why do they not have information on their tracking?
I see DSTV has now removed their news channel that was available 24 hours a day. Sometimes important items crop up on the news channels ticker tape but since the news is no longer available from DSTV, you have to go to another device to read it, because it drops off their radar completely. I wonder if the Canal 'switch' has anything to do with it? As with so much in RSA every day something that we pay for is taken away, but the price remains he same. I am cancelling mine-no wonder people turn to Netflix. DSTV are also terrible with aggressive sales calls-can't take no for an answer.
I am fed up with receiving the same email over and over again from Nedbank telling me my details are not up to date. I have phoned them quoted Ref numbers, written so many times and I still get the same letter over and over again. Can Nedbank staff not read? It is bordering on harrassment.
Rude rude rude!!! I received an email from Nedbank saying that my FICA details were out of date and if I didn't phone a specific phone number, my account would be BLOCKED. My son checked my details and nothing needed updating. I also phoned Nedbank-held on for forty minutes and eventually got hold of a real person, Ronald. I asked HOW DARE THEY SEND ME SUCH A RUDE EMAIL? He checked my profile as well and nothing needed updating. He said they word the email like that because sometimes people don't bother to respond. I said Nedbank needs to do better than that especially for people who have banked with them for 43 years. I am furious.
I received two orders from Amazon South Africa today-a small appliance and miscellaneous food items. The mayonnaise has no seal on it and is not vaccum sealed as usual, and has run into the plastic bubble wrap. I took a picture to send to them but apparently items like this are NOT eligible for replacement. I just wanted them to know, but their website is terrible. I order quite often from them but this business of not being able to contact the SA crowd is shocking. Thumbs down to Amazon-I will not order again-PACK YOUR STUFF PROPERLY TO AVOID HYGIENE ISSUES.
I buy regularly from Makro but they have the worst website. You choose your items and put them in your cart-as quickly as possible, because of the lousy website. You go to check out and it says the items are out of stock!! Why do they not keep their website updated. I phoned their complaints number and the lady suggested going about it differently(ONE CART? )she said. That also failed. She checked and the PMB Makro DOES have stock-I have been on this since 8am and am hugely frustrated. This is normal monthly shopping-nothing special about it but their website is very problematic always.
