Mutual Credit Solutions
Based on recent customer reviews, Mutual Credit Solutions receives sharply divided feedback. A recurring theme among dissatisfied customers is being placed under debt review without informed consent following unsolicited cold calls, with complaints about misleading sales tactics, undisclosed consequences for credit access, unauthorised debit orders, and difficulty reaching the company to cancel. Customers consistently mention concerns about transparency around Form 16 and NCR processes. On the positive side, some clients praise specific consultants such as Lisa, Allison, and Jason for patient, professional service and for making debt consolidation feel more affordable and manageable.

Unhappy customer - conned into debt counselling unknowingly I urgently need assistance Ive contacted the NCR, awaiting feedback, I was contacted by the above mentioned company (mutual credit solutions) stating they assist with negotiate better interest rates on consumers behalf, to lower debt instalments, they never mentioned that it involves placing the client under Debt counselling, I specifically stated I dont want to be under debt counselling, as I need to make future loans and when she asked if I want to pay off the existing debt, I said yes, meaning I pay but still need to use the revolving credit as daily life and costs are unforeseen and increasing - We even had a conversation about it, the operator was very reassuring Ive contacted them many times and asked them to remove this from my name and credit accounts and bank account, as I noticed on the mandate its “debt review”, on the recording I asked the operator, Amy, if its debt counselling and she spoke around it but never confirmed that is was, and that it wouldn’t affect my credit record, now they refuse to send me the recording, saying I need to pay R15000 to have it cancelled immediately or lawyer up and have my lawyer work through the NCR to get the recording to get this cancelled, how do I get out of this??!! I can’t use any of my accounts or cards, and they completely side-balled me with what this entails and I don't want to be under debt counselling, were busy building a house, I need to use my accounts and cards, and they’re arrogance to assist or press extra costs on people is shocking. My bank cant cancel it without communication from the NCR or from them, and it’s extremely difficult to get a hold of the people at this company - please be very weary of this company

Review: Mutual Credit Solutions phoned me on 22 April 2026 promising “debt help” and “lower instalments”. They sent a link to sign Form 16. I was NEVER told I would be placed under debt review or barred from credit. No informed consent as required by NCA Section 86(1). When I asked for the call recordings and my Form 16, they claimed the NCR already has it, but I have not received any documents. I withdrew in writing immediately. I demand: written proof my Form 16 has NOT been submitted to the NCR/credit bureaus, confirmation my file is closed, and no fees charged. NCR complaint already logged. Warning to others: Do not sign documents sent after a cold call. You could be placed under debt review without understanding the consequences.

I just received a call from this company Mutual Credit Solutions. I don’t know where they got my details . I ended the call as I was not interested in their services. Shortly after I received a sms saying I consented to a credit report. This is 100% false. I never consented 😡
