Today, I went to Spar Clayville at the Mall of Tembisa to purchase a combo deal that was on special and set to end today. Unfortunately, one of the items included in the combo was out of stock. I approached one of the staff members for assistance, and she advised me to speak to the manager, Simon, to request a rain check so that I could pay for the combo and collect the missing item later when it becomes available.
I followed her advice and spoke to the manager. To my disappointment, Simon refused and stated that Spar does not do rain checks and only Pick n Pay offers such services. I then questioned why I was advised to speak to the manager about this if it isn’t a service Spar provides. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive a satisfactory response.
I found this experience incredibly frustrating and disappointing. It reflects poorly on the communication and service standards of Spar Clayville. This lack of coordination wasted my time and left me feeling let down.
