THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE AND IV BEEN TO SOME HOLES!!!<br> 1)ON ARRIVAL THE FORECOURT WAS LITTERED WITH LEAVES AND PALM SEEDS<br> 2)OLD NEWSPAPER HELD DOWN BY THE BACK OF A OLD CHAIR IN THE ENTRANCE<br> 3)BROKEN KITCHEN EQUIPMENT STANDING ON THE VERANDA<br> 4)LIGHTS OUT ON THE MAIN ENTRANCE<br> 5)SPEED BUMP(LOL) AND VERY SLIPPERY TILES IN THE ENTRANCE<br> 6)THE DOOR TO THE RESTAURANT ONLY OPEN HALF WAY AND HAS TO BE WEDGED IN WITH PAPER<br> 7)WE GET INSIDE AND STAND THERE WAITING EVENTUALLY A WAITPERSON COMES OVER AND SHOWS US TO OUR TABLE<br> 8)WE ARE SEATED CLOSE TO THE DOOR AND THE WHITE CURTAINS DRAPING THE WINDOWS ARE FILTHY<br> 9)WE THEN SEE COCKROACHES RUNNING ON THE DRAPES BUT WE STILL TRY KEEP AN OPEN MIND<br> 10)THE TABLE CLOTH HAS A HUGE HOLE IN IT AND IS BADLY STAINED<br> 11)WE THEN ASK TO SEE A WINE LIST AND ARE INFORMED THEY DON'T HAVE AND OUR WAITPERSON COULDN'T TELL US WHAT WINES WERE AVAILABLE OR IF THE SOLD IT BY THE GLASS.EVENTUALLY THE BARMAN COMES TO TELL US WHATS AVAILABLE SO WE ORDER A BOTTLE OF 4COUSINS 1.5LT@200.00 AND A CASTLE LIGHT(20) AND A BLACK LABEL(25)<br> WE GET OUR DRINKS>>>>>>NO ICE BUCKET TWO MISMATCHED WINE GLASSES AND NO BEER GLASSES<br> GOT SO MUCH MORE TO SAY BUT NOT ENOUGH SPACE

1) The food was cold and tasteless. 2) The cutlery was embarrasing. 3) They dont have a drinks menue, dont do any kind of juice or fancy drinks. 4) We had to listen to the same CD over and over again.5) Here is a good one:-)THEY DONT DO ANY TEA OR COFFEE. Our bill was written on a manual invoice book. No till slip. We will never eat there again, even if I get paid to go there.

I purchased a voucher from Groupon for the 24th of October for R199 for 2 people. On arrival at the restuarant after making a reservation in advance we were directed to a corner spot in the restuarant which was not cosy at all. The we proceeded to check the buffet which lacked presentation. The list and picture on groupon looks so appetising but once you go there to a very dull section at the back of restuarant. The food was bland and lacked any flavour or taste. We were there for not more than 15min and left. I would like a refund as this was a wasted effort.<br> <br> People should not be fooled by what is presented on a voucher.<br> <br> Will never go to eat there again.

we had bought 4 vouchers from daddys deals for a lunch buffet, upon arrival we were confused as to whether we were in the right place or not, it was nothing like the pictures I had seen or even googled.<br> the place had a stuffy smell and was very hot inside, regardless we gave it a chance hoping for the best. but we could not have been more wrong, the food was terrible, the deserts were terrible, I had spoken to the manager, Clive to clarify who does the advertising of the place when a deal is for sale on daddys deals, he got very upset and had an argument with me about how his 65 years old and I cant talk to him that way, eventually he told me that daddys deals sends a rep out to do the pictures and write up. <br> He went away for a few minutes and as we were leaving he came back to continue arguing with me about how we must not be difficult with people and karma has a way of coming back to people and what was I expecting for R100 a person, I thanked him for his time and walked away<br> <br> Its disappointing enough to find that we had been mis lead and very frustrating to be confronted by someone with a bad attitude even when they are wrong<br> <br> Mykonos Restaurant. don't go there!!!!

About 3 weeks ago my husband called and spoke to a guy by the name Nythia who referred him to Clive ! We bought 6 groupon vouchers for a buffet cos it was my parents anniversary , so he made the booking for the 25th dat was yest for supper which was agreed on. We travelled all the way from phoenix with 3 vehicles only for the place to be closed. When we enquired about the place being closed the security says lunch was quiet so they was closed for supper. No one called us to tell us they closed , unprofessional yhey did not even call us to tell us they are quiet if we wanna rebook. So I tried calling twice to which the calls went unanswered, finally I called again to which I spoke to Clive , wen I enquired about our booking he remembers abt the booking but he says he cant see anything on the book. No apology from his side very arrogant man . I would never ever recommend MYKONO'S TO ANYONE cos we were inconvenienced cos we had to go and buy takeway . They should just close down they just wasting peoples time.<br> I

Made reservations with Clive for dinner at 12midday for 6pm, at which point we informed him that we would be utilizing the groupon vouchers for the meal. Arrived at restaurant only to have Clive tell us that they could not make the platters for us but at first gave no reason. Then he insists that we should have contacted him 1 whole day prior to make reservations and insisted that this was stipulated in the groupon fine print. When I pointed out that it was not in fact in the fine print, he ignored me and went on to say that he did not have stock required to make up platters. I then told him that this was unacceptable as he should have told us this at time of reservation, at which point he walked away. When I pursued the matter he went on to call me a liar and insisted that we had not called and made reservations. When we showed him evidence in my phone log of having called his cell no he then further insisted that we had not informed him that we were using groupon vouchers and repeatedly called me a liar. He refused to resolve the matter and continued to behave in a completely unacceptable, distasteful manner. Rubbish service.

When I complained about the bad quality of mashed potato (which was in liquid form) the manager offer me 10 kilos of it and made no attempt to rectify the bad quality of the food. He had an extremely bad attitude.

Worst Buffet ever. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Menu is misleading. No customer service. Food is limited. Staff don't know what is condiments yet it was on the menu. Owner is rude and a liar as we askedif he is the same owner from Umhlanga Mykonos, he replied \No"but yet he is the same and the same service was given in Umhlanga. Worst mother's day i ever gave to my Mom and wife.<br> <br> Terrible experience!Will never go there again even if I was paid to. Firstly the welcome drinks are put out with the glasses in a critical state. The cutlery (fork/spoon/knife) is cheap tin.The meal is one of the worst I've even eaten. The portions are for kids not for adults.As for the deserts. Its was definitely someones leftovers.The staff leaves much to be desired.Never again! This place should never be given the status as a restaurant.<br> """
