I would NOT recommend N4 Autocraft based on my recent experience. I was first contacted on 14 April to say that the repair had been authorised by the insurance company. On 17 April, a book in date was finalised, and I received the booking confirmation on 24 April. My car was taken in on 28 April. That same day, I received a message saying the car was in the stripping bay. After that, I only received another update on 11 May, saying the car was in the paint preparation bay and ready for painting. No proper communication followed after this. My husband had to keep following up to find out when the car would be ready. The insurance company also started following up. On 19 May, I received a confused and panicked call from reception, where the lady said she had phoned the wrong person. I finally collected my car on 20 May. Three days later, on 23 May, my car stopped running while I was driving out of our complex. The battery was completely flat. When we opened the bonnet to jump-start the car, we found that two covers in the engine area were missing. We also noticed visible running paint on the repair work. So after THREE weeks to repair a bumper, I received my car back with missing parts, a flat battery, poor communication and paintwork that was not up to standard. I have had a similar repair done by another panel beater before, including a bumper repair and front light replacement, and it was completed within a week. The service I received from N4 Autocraft was unacceptable. I will NOT recommend them to anyone in Pretoria or anywhere else in South Africa. If I could give a zero-star rating, I would. Think carefully before taking your vehicle to them. If a bumper repair takes three weeks and still comes back with missing parts and visible paint defects, I would be very concerned about how long a larger repair would take.

Incident reported to Discovery South Africa in December 2025. Assessor indicated it is a 5-day job and appointed N4 Autocraft in Pretoria East. They contacted me to book the vehicle on 20 January 2026, for the repair after they received the spares. The tail light lens needed replacement, the white bumper needs plastic marks to be removed and possible replacement of the black plastic skirt below the bumper. It is now 1 whole month at the repair shop, and still no vehicle. I feel sorry for the people who send their vehicle in with a real dent; it would probably take about 2 months at this rate. Very poor service from N4 Autocraft.
