I was taken aback when she questioned whether my medical aid had funds and proceeded to contact them for confirmation, a step she did not take with other patients. After completing the scan, instead of allowing me to leave, she insisted I wait while she contacted my medical aid to check payment status. This unnecessary delay lasted for 20 minutes, causing inconvenience as I needed to get to work. Despite having funds available, I would have preferred to pay in cash if given the option.
