I would like to lay my grievances with Ncanda Funerals. I approached Ncanda Funerals to cover 10 members at R550 a month. This cover has 1 month waiting period. On the 29th of August 2024, I had a teleconference with one of Ncanda Funerals' consultants confirming the cover. In Sept 2024, I submitted the list of members to be covered and made payment same day. After the payment, the consultant confirmed receipt of payment and promises to capture the members. On 23 December 2024, I lodged a claim as one of the members had passed on. I did not receive any communication nor the monies owed to me as per the cover. In January 2025, I visited Ncanda Funerals Durban Office, to find that the consultant did not capture the members. All monthly premiums were paid as agreed. The consultants negligence is the cause of this ordeal. The claims department then requests that I submit all relevant information like pictures and proof of payments and I do so. I was advised that an internal investigation was to be carried out. The following week I went to customer services where I was surprised to find out that the last time they worked on my file was when I lodged a complaint. I was told that they are awaiting the management to make a decision. When I visited them again, the same thing happened and was told to wait, with no time frame.
I am completely dissatisfied with the assistance and urgency Ncanda Funerals has assisted me. I have lost money as a result. I believe that the management is unaware of this situation.
