Fatty, porky spare ribs
I ordered 1kg of pork ribs , service was slow, the ribs were very fatty, tasted very porky perhaps they were not fresh ,they tasted as if they had been boiled rather than grilled ,the portion was less than their 950g and the chips were fried in old oil. There were 2 good things which I observed the person who greeted me at the front door was very friendly and the person grilling the steaks looked very professional.One more thing there was a man wearing and apron who gave me a rundown how his ribs were the best and I hated his lack of compassion and understanding. I think his ribs were awful.

More pear than Bert. Ordered the Camebert starter and a quarter of a wheel arrived with 3 pieces of Melba toast. This was a R105 starter and I was shocked at the small portion served. The lettuce and pear were the highlight of the meal. Please try an alternative. Carpacio rocked!!

Worst restaurant experience
This restaurant is by far the worst. They are rude, racist and the service is beyond reprehensible. The waiter's response when asked about an item on the menu is that it is "self explanatory". Management is just as indifferent then you understand the attitude of the staff. It starts from the top. No cutlery, no wine glasses. You have to ask several times only to be met with arrogance. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Absolutely deplorable!!!

Great food, **** service.
My friends and I have the pleasure and displeasure of eating at Nelson's Eye the other evening. I must say the food there is outstanding but the service was less than impressive. Our waitress was awful on so many levels. She was rude , abrupt and demanding which kinda made us feel like we were missing out on the best part of going to a restaurant: to be rude, abrupt and demanding with the waitress! This role reversal was not lekker. To top it off, I'm pretty certain she was on drugs. Not that I have a problem with that, it's more that she didn't offer us any. To end the night, she also tried to add around 20% to our bill for her "outstanding" service and then tried to cover up her deceit with a claim that her calculator was new and she was still becoming accustomed to how it worked. I was not aware of such innovations in the calculator market. I have since decided to sell all my Bitcoins and invest in calculators! Great food though and would recommend eating there if you can avoid sitting at the back upstairs;)
