My husband and I both went to see a Doctor at the NHC in Honeydew about 3 weeks back as we both had flu. We arrived at the NHC and weren't even greeted properly, the first thing we were asked is "how are we going to pay? Are we on a medical aid? And there is an extra charge of R350 being a Sunday. We had made the booking on the Saturday night and no where on the website booking form did it mention anything about an extra charge of R350...? We have been patients of the NHC Honeydew for about 15 years and surely by now the people that work in reception already have all our details on file, our medical aid details etc.???? NO! We were not even greeted but they were so concerned about payment first... DISGUSTING SERVICE! We then went to see a doctor and i had all my chronic medications with me so i could get a new script for another six months but when i asked this doctor he REFUSED to give me a script and told me to make another appointment with another doctor......? WHAT UTTER ******* AND PATHETIC SERVICE! So basically i must now pay another R600 plus more to see another doctor just to get a simple script when i had all my meds in front of him but couldn't assist me in that matter. WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR IS THIS THAT REFUSES TO GIVE A PATIENT THEIR CHRONIC MEDS..???????????? ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, PATHETIC SERVICE AND WE WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO NHC HONEYDEW!!!!
