I app**** for Flisp (NHFC) and I was approved for an amount of R85237.91 on 16 September 2024, grant letter attached. I was told to take the letter to my nearest Standard Bank branch and ask them to allocate the funds to my HL account. When I got there, they didn't know what I was talking about and they put me on the phone with HL department, they ask that I sent them the grant letter of which I did and they responded a day later asking me to email them a proof of payment, I called NHFC asking them for a proof of payment, I was told that they cannot give it to me since they paid the money to STD BANK in bulk and the pop has all the names of people who were approved for NHFC and bank with STD BANK, because of (POPI ACT) they can't give it to me. The more I explained to STD BANK, the more they asked me for PoP as they didn't know what I was talking about. On the other hand NHFC insists that STD BANK should know about this as this is how they've been doing things since, and there's no way they'll issue me with a PoP, I should just make sure that I ask for someone who deals with suspense account, because it is obvious that I'm engaging with people who are not fami**** with NHFC payments.
