Lack of Communication Bordering on Fraudulent - Good Products, Though
What a nightmare. I ordered my items from OfficeGear.co.za on the 23rd of November 2022. After a week I became suspicious as there was no further progress to my order. For an entire week I tried contacting them via phone and e-mail - never once did they answer ANY of their phones or any of my e-mails. Because of this lack of communication I was forced to contact PayFast and try to report them as a fraudulent seller, which fortunately led to one of Office Gear's reps to contact me. I eventually received my order on the 7th of December 2022 and furtunately in good order. Their products are good and reasonably priced, but it's a massive headache to deal with these people. I went through two weeks of thinking I had been robbed.

I apologize for the bad experience. The lack of communication at that time was mostly caused by issues with Load shedding affecting our Phone lines and internet. I have looked at our records and I see our system did send the automated email notifications to update you on your order's process. It's unfortunate that you would feel our company 'Borders on Fraudulent' but as you have received you order already, I am sure you know this is not the case. We are looking into what was the delay but also note that this is a very busy time for the suppliers (Silly Season) and orders take a bit longer than usual. We hope you have a wonderful festive season and a wonderful new year.

If you would like to order from them and go through the hassle of:
If you would like to order from them and go through the hassle of:
- Calling them daily and at different times of the day,
- Have 4 of their reps either let their phones ring or rejecting your calls
- Get no update to your order on their website,
- Receive none of their e-mails (even though you do ALL of your shopping online and get all the other emails),
- Wonder whether you will receive your items or not
- Have PayFast tell you they also can't reach the seller
- And then after two days of further lack of communication receive the items
