Very disappointing experience. We paid for an eye test and confirmed beforehand that we would receive written confirmation of the results. After the test, the staff refused to provide any written report unless we bought glasses from them. Customers should not be pressured into purchasing products just to receive documentation for a service they already paid for.DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR FALSE ADVET OF THE 99r eye test it’s a **** to force you to get glasses from the disgusting

I had an excellent experience at the Soneike branch. I had my eye test done on Friday last week, the team were professional and helpful. For the first time I was told that my previous prescription glasses weren't the correct strength (received from a different optometrist). I went to collect my specs 7 days later and I can honestly say I don't think I've ever had the correct prescription lenses before this. It's been life changing. Thank you so much

I went in for an eye test and replacement of my sunglasses to transition lenses at the Randburg branch. I told the receptionist Pinki and the optometrist on duty that I need my lenses to be replaced and for them to transition given that they were previously sunglasses. I requested Pinki to provide a breakdown of the quote before proceeding. Instead of providing a proper breakdown, Pinki sent an email advising the total costs. I asked her to break it down for me, which she did at a high level on email. I accepted the quote as during our discussion I explicitly told her I need transition lenses and an option of blue tint which I communicated and assumed the vague email incorporated the request. I left my specs and paid R3650 for my lenses. When I went to collect my specs, Pinki nor the optometrist know about my request and replaced my sunglasses to normal specs and now have no recollection of what I asked for. The optometrist failed to write down my request and Pinki is telling me that I forgot to tell the optometrist what I wanted. I am now asked to pay extra to get transition lenses as according to them, they did their job. I am not willing to pay extra and want to be refunded and original specs returned as they failed to provide what I requested for.

Hi just had to share. NEVER go to Optique for your glasses. They deduct when ever they feel like deducting. Then at the end of day you are responsible for banking chargers. Even the people at finance don't want to sent a copy of mandate for deduction. So now who's gonna pay 1200 for banking fees???

My experience with Optique Optometrist Randburg has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I went in for an eye test on 19 November, selected my frames, and was told my glasses would be ready within 5–10 working days. Two weeks passed with no communication at all — no call, no message, no update on the ETA. I eventually followed up myself, only to be told they would “check with the lab” to see how far my glasses were. Then, almost three weeks later, I received a call saying I now need to come back and choose a new frame because the original one doesn’t fit my lenses. It’s honestly shocking that this was only picked up after weeks of silence. The lack of urgency, accountability, and communication is unacceptable. At no point was I proactively updated — everything only happened after I chased them. What made the experience even more uncomfortable is that I was left feeling overlooked and not taken seriously as a customer. The service I received felt dismissive, and it’s hard not to question whether I would have been treated differently if I were someone else. No customer should leave feeling like that. Overall, this was a very poor customer experience, and I would not recommend this branch to others. People deserve better communication, respect, and professionalism — especially when dealing with something as important as their eyesight

I have been to a few optometrist in my life and Optique Parklands by far exceeded my expectations. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Ruan is amazing and so informative. Explained things to me that no other ever has. Pricing is affordable and payment plans help those, like me, that dont have medical aid. I would definitely recommend them for your future eye care! Keep it up!

I have been to a few optometrist in my life and Optique Parklands by far exceeded my expectations. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Ruan is amazing and so informative.
