Extremely disappointing experience
Service complaint based on factual experience.
Our company contacted this courier service to confirm whether same-day collection and delivery was available, as this was a non-negotiable requirement for a client order. We were informed that same-day service formed part of their offering. Based on this representation, we proceeded with the booking and payment.
On the day of service, we were later informed that the parcel would not be delivered the same day unless an additional R1000 fee was paid. This was not disclosed at the time of booking. By the time this was communicated, it was no longer possible for us to make alternative delivery arrangements.
As a direct result, we failed to meet our client’s deadline.
Businesses rely on accurate service representations when making operational decisions. In this instance, the service delivered did not match what was confirmed at the time of booking.

Thank you for your review. I would like to bring to your attention that I received the call this morning just after 8 am from one of your staff. The question was do we service Yzerfontein and my response to the person at your company was "yes". Never in any part of the conversation with me or my CSD Manager Lelyn or even our driver Chris was there mention that it was to be delivered today. Our website states "We service 90% of the towns same day" that is accurate and our clients can vouch for that if we know by 6am for example. If you read correctly you will note we "The Couriers Courier" with means we deliver on behalf of other courier companies in a 3PL role and to give u an understanding, we collect from Couriers up to 7am and we deliver the same day that part is very accurate
Then to answer you on the R1000 I quoted for a same day driveway, that is based on a dedicated driveway which is calculated on AA Rates as a base charge. I then mentioned to the lady at your company I would discount it to half and I would deliver it personally. I then decided I would call the receiver and arrange that I drive through personally and refund you your R150 back to you and do the delivery for free since it's your first time using us. The client then said the parcel is not urgent and she can wait till Monday.
If you like we can return your parcel and you can find an alternate courier to deliver this as a same day on Monday or alternatively allow me to deliver this parcel and we will still refund u in full.
In future please inform the lady we dealt with to always indicate when she want parcels delivered when dealing with Couriers. I feel this something that could have been sorted had we had accurate information
