I went into your Tableview branch about 20min ago, trying to purchase a pack of balloons and a roll of ribbon. Your FNB card machine clearly wasn’t working, as it declined both my cards for an amount of under R55. I asked the cheeky staff member with two childish ponytails on his head (how unprofessional an appearance) if they had another manner in which to pay, or another machine. He didn’t not try re-boot the FNB machine. Instead he said “shame, maybe your card isn’t used to that amount ” which I found INCREDIBLY disrespectful. I am a business owner in the area and will most definitely boycott a store that treats me in this manner. Wow, I am actually speechless.
I did ask for assistance with a manager, or head office’s number, which he also ignored.
Can you shed some light on this please ? Is this the manner in which your business operates ? (also, why do you charge R23 for a helium fill when other stores charge R9.99)
