I was refunded $60 in November last year. The seller sent proof of payment to me showing a refund deposited into my PayPal account. After sending numerous emails, bank statements, and IDs for both refunds I am still waiting. My PayPal balance is $ 0.00, so I am not even able to buy anything using PayPal. I was referred to my bank. Was informed no money was waiting to be released, and they stopped dealing with them. I was refunded via PayPal, and to date, I have not received my money. No response to emails.....nothing. As far as I am concerned, my money is missing, and PayPal is not taking accountability even after they received proof of payment from the merchant in the US. R1000 just gone into thin air, sitting in their PayPal account unrefunded.

Woke up to an email saying my account's been permanently banned, submitted all required documents and was told I can't appeal. Not only is payal taking my money but I also hadn't received and complaints or chargebacks in the account. No refund requests just paypal proving to be an unreliable and unprofessional service for online transactions.

I wish I could give no stars, but unfortunately that is not an option. I sold 3 phones on Facebook Marketplace and the buyer insisted on using PayPal. She received the phones on 21/12/2025 and I haven't received payment yet. Every day there is something else that holds up payment. Every email is just to inform me of a new fee that needs to be paid (that was not disclosed in the beginning). Today it is a technical error and I received R3000.00 in error. Now they want me to pay the R3000.00 back before they will release the payment. This is absurd and the worst service from a service provider I have ever encountered. Currently they are ignore email communication. I really wish to warn people NOT to use PayPal.

Think twice before you use PayPal 8 days waiting for a payment and everything time there is a new story and then there is a different person that you need to explain the same story over and over again and then they promise to do there work and then its DAYS going past NO FEEDBACK OR SERVICE. So if I can give anyone advice watch out !!!

I have been getting billed on my PayPal by Uber BV despite my not having used Uber in several years. There is no easy way to get this resolved and trying to contact PayPal is a nightmare. I am now sitting and waiting for a security code that PayPal claim to have sent to my mobile but nothing has come through and without it, I cannot close my PayPal account. How do I get rid of this useless PayPal account?
