I was refunded $60 in November last year. The seller sent proof of payment to me showing a refund deposited into my PayPal account. After sending numerous emails, bank statements, and IDs for both refunds I am still waiting. My PayPal balance is $ 0.00, so I am not even able to buy anything using PayPal. I was referred to my bank. Was informed no money was waiting to be released, and they stopped dealing with them. I was refunded via PayPal, and to date, I have not received my money. No response to emails.....nothing. As far as I am concerned, my money is missing, and PayPal is not taking accountability even after they received proof of payment from the merchant in the US. R1000 just gone into thin air, sitting in their PayPal account unrefunded.
Again Uber Cape Town deducted money from my account yet I live in Durban. I have reported the *****ulent transaction but this has now happened twice. How can this company continue allowing drivers to ***** from customers and not to anything? I have yet to get a response from them for the first transaction. What is the purpose of a hello Peter platform if they cannot assist people with these *****ulent issues? If companies don't respond then that's it, nothing happens. Case closed. This is daylight ******* and not even the company is bothered with these complaints. They seem to be OK with their drivers robbing people. Now I understand when people say that this country is *******.
I received a notification from my Capitec account that R50 was deducted for an Uber trip in Johannesburg on the 9th. However, I reside in Durban. I used paid for Uber trip a few months back by using my account. In this case the Uber driver never arrived yet I was charged for cancellation charges. Does this mean that my banking details are not safe with Uber and money is being deducted for rides in other provinces? How many people who uses Uber for trips via account number is being ******? The amount is small so it doesn't really get noticed. Multiply that with 50 more Uber users.I would like to be refunded and my account details removed from their database. Thanks Vanessa P. S. I recently decided to try Pick n Pay ASAP. They offered me a R100 discount for my first order and gave me apple andpromo code. I placed my order with my promo code TAPTAPNOW100. Unfortunately I was not fami**** with this app and took too long to verify. Pick n Pay ASAP cancelled my order. I tried to place my order again just to find that my discount was no longer valid. I was not happy as I never placed an order and my second attempt was still my 1st order. Why offer a discount if you cannot follow through with it. They cancelled my order not me and yet I continued trying to order which took me awhile. My discount had been revoked. This experience dismayed from ordering groceries online.
I recently booked an Uber as I had a hospital appointment. Driver confirmed. Booked via bank account.Waited. Checked after 10minutes as driver was less than 10 minutes away. Driver said he was waiting at pick up point. I said no as I was outside my house. Resent my address. Few minutes later received a message stating ride cancelled and R25 was deducted for cancellation fees. Ride was R45. Checked the app and found that it stated the ride was cancelled by me. I lodged a complaint and Uber said they would refund in 3 to 10 days. My point. How many clients did this happen to where there was no complaint. Thousands being deducted from accounts due to cancellations done by the drivers? You do the math. I will never use Uber again and will inform all my family, friends etc of my experience. I ended up having to book another ride with Bolt.
