The most disgusting interaction I ever had was with this pharmacy. I ordered insulin from them on the 15th of March, they then delivered 1 vial of insulin instead of the 3 but promised free delivery of the remaining vials the following day. it never came. when the 1 vial was almost done on the 29th of march, I called them to request insulin in their business hours to no answer, sent whatsapps to no response, they were then closed so i had to arrange emergency insulin. they then whatsapped me on the 1st of April and confirmed the insulin would be there on the 2nd of April, on the 2nd of April, I got a call from them placing all the blame on me despite having their communication in writing, they said i was responsible to get a script (they confirmed script as per law by teleconsult with dr) and questioned why I would only follow up when i was on my last drops of insulin and how the blame isnt with them aswell as mentioning i should call them in business hours in reference to them not answering, I was speechless. . they have been paid for 3 vials and again i need to organize emergency insulin because they said insulin would be delivered today but now they arent giving me what I paid for. the responsible pharmacist is shocking and should take responsibility when making a mistake instead of spending the phone call placing blame instead of finding solutions. 10/10 would not recommend.

Bongi, my favourite pharmacist is always so kind, so helpful just a beautiful person. The entire staff at that pharmacy is kind and very patient with me and other clients. Best pharmacy to go to. I love the pounts/discount card too. It comes in very handy.

I changed from getting my monthly medicine from Dischem to the local Petervale Pharmacy purely for logistics. I get quite a few chronic things per month and didnt usually look closely at what they were charging me for dispensing the medication. On Triphasil (the pill) Petervale Pharmacy was charging me R66.70 on the medicine which cost R94.56 (total = R161.26). *** meds cost R138.18, one day they charged me a fee of R28.75 & another day the fee was R84.35. *** meds costs R202.80 and the dispensing fee was R108.87!!!! Unreal. And the list continues. An example invoice total for monthly meds of mine; the meds cost R852 and the dispensing fee was R410. Its ludicrous! Even for Cataflam (an OVER THE COUNTER medicine) - it cost R72.44 and the fee was R57.02!! Its almost the same amount - for an over the counter medication (but it was purchased with my normal meds so I didnt notice they even charged a fee). I am not one for conflict, & I certainly wasn't going to get my money back - even doubtful on a reasonable explanation, so I left them and just went back to Dischem - who charge so much less (& I think its a set fee per item). The (most) people are nice and friendly. But please check your dispensing fees as I did as I was horrified when I saw what they were charging me. I am saving a couple of hundred rand a month due to this. Medical aids are bad enough without pharmacies loading onto the prices. Especially in these difficult times.
