Petra Stone (Mesh Chetty), a stone fabricator was contracted to do work for us. We supp**** the stone and paid in full for 2 round stone tops. One round top was delivered but the second was never delivered. We also asked Mesh to fabricate a further 2 slabs for a client. Mesh broke a slab and then went silent and ignored us for weeks not completing the work and destroying our relationship with the client. We eventually had to get attroneys involved to get his attention and even then he did not care. Eventually he agreed to complete the work with the help of the stone supplier rep. After completing the work we paid the balance of the fabrication as agreed towards the replacement slab but are still outstanding the one round top and balance due of replacement slab to be paid. I do not recommend Petra Stone (Mesh Chetty) to anyone. He lies and makes promiese and then ignores all communication. We are now in the process to blacklist him and will also notify stone suppliers to ensure another one of their clients don't have to go through what we are going through.

After having a bad experience with Prince from Ixhiba Granite i engaged Meshack from Petra Stone to do my kitchen island. I explained to him that i had a bad experience already and that i have already paid for the stone directly as i did not want to give Prince the deposit inclusive of the Sapien stone. Meshack knew about this and mentioned that he was getting a delivery from ProQuartz in a day or 2 so he will get them to deliver my slab that i already paid for to him. At no time did he mention that he will not carry the warranty etc as i paid directly. During the process of him cutting the stone he chipped it in a few places and now denies liability saying i bought the stone and he merely installed it, but he was the one that cut it and chipped it. He now blames the supplier saying its a manufacture fault although the supplier did not cut the slab. He also refuses to engage with the supplier regarding the chips and says its my problem to resolve. When he wanted the deposit and the go ahead he was eveready to directly request that supplier deliver to him but now he won't engage when there is a problem. He requested the delivery be done to him. After having issues with the first guy i thought paying a lot more would give me a better job and more reliable people but no it does not. This time round you pay a fortune and get bad workmanship and deniability. The joins in my slab are also opening up and i expect that one day all should come apart. It is also unstable in places. He told me about this special way it needs to be cut, backed and installed but what i saw could have been done by any granite installation person. He has also advised many times that he will get back to me about when he is going to repair the joins but to date i still await his call. He was paid in mid August and only installed at the beginning of September 2022. Since installation i am battling to get him to return my cut outs which was supposed to be made into 2 cutting boards, to resolve the chips and to epoxy the corners again. Numerous messages go unanswered. I also await a call from ProQuartz.
