I visited a company by the name of BVSA today which is on the same premises as PFK Tygervalley branch. As I was leaving I turned the wrong way and realised that the exit I was heading towards said no entry. As such I turned left to avoid disobeying the the rules of the road. Unbeknown to me as I entered I realised it was PFK Private Property Parking area. I made a u turn to exit the parking area owned by PFK and realised the gate had closed. I then got out and explained to the security what had happened and if he could please open the gate. He said that he was not able too. I then parked my car and took the lift upstairs. There were two ladies in the front office/reception. I then approached the one lady and explained the situation to her that I entered PFK parking area by mistake and if she could please open the gate for me, she looked at me strange and I explained again. After that she still seemed a bit confused and I asked her if there was any confusion, such that I could clarify things to her. By no means was I trying to be sarcastic, I just wanted to clarify the confusion such that I could leave. She then responded very rudely to me and said in Afrikaans "MOET NIE HARREGAT WEES NIE" She then got up and walked towards the door to go downstairs with me to open the gate. I then explained myself again to the other lady in reception and said I was not sure why her colleague was reacting this way towards me. She said they just wanted to be certain because if anything goes wrong they are responsible. I completely understand that, but is such a response from the receptionist really necessary? Maybe it was because I am not white that the receptionist responded in this manner. Is it because I am coloured because I thought things has changed?
