07 Jan 2026, 15:34 am still deeply shaken and in shock that an interaction involving one of your drivers escalated to such a dangerous and threatening level that my colleague had to physically position herself in front of me to prevent a potential physical assault. For context, I wish to state that I am, by nature, a humble, respectful, and understanding person. I make a conscious effort to approach situations calmly and courteously. This is precisely why I find it extremely difficult to let this incident go. My initial approach to your driver was respectful and conciliatory, yet it was met with hostility and aggression that appeared disturbingly fami**** and habitual to him.The incident occurred while my colleagues and I were collecting food from GCT. We are not residents of GCT and were merely on the premises for collection purposes. As we were leaving, your truck was reversing on the road. Security requested that the driver reverse at an angle to allow vehicles to pass. The driver agreed. We were then asked to move to the opposite side while waiting for the truck to reposition. During this time, security again requested that the driver reverse to the agreed angle.Instead of complying, the driver unexpectedly exited the truck. I approached him calmly and respectfully and explained that we were late for work. I politely requested that he reverse to the agreed area, as directed by security, so that traffic could move. Despite the reasonable nature of this request, it was completely disregarded.Without provocation, the driver became extremely aggressive, shouting at me and making inappropriate and irrational remarks, including blaming me for unrelated issues such as global warming.A female colleague of his then exited the vehicle and stated that they are “always late,” and that it was now “our turn to be late.” This response demonstrated a complete lack of consideration for our situation and reinforced the dismissive and hostile manner in which our request was treated. Her tone and conduct mirrored the driver’s behaviour, suggesting that this was not an isolated reaction but a shared and accepted manner of engagement. The male driver then began recording videos and taking pictures. I suggested that, rather than recording parked vehicles, he document the area where security had instructed him to reverse so that the obstruction could be resolved. At this point, the situation escalated dramatically and frighteningly. The driver advanced towards me in a violent and intimidating manner, shouting aggressively, asking if I thought I was “special,” telling me that I should lose my job, and repeatedly calling me degrading and dehumanising names, including “*****” and “piece of ****,” while making threatening hand gestures.I genuinely feared for my safety. The aggression was so intense and immediate that my colleague stood firmly in front of me, effectively preventing him from approaching or harming me. I am deeply concerned that had I been alone, the outcome could have been far more serious, particularly given that the female colleague appeared to support and reinforce his behaviour rather than intervene or de-escalate the situation. All four of us were left deeply traumatised by this encounter. Even the security personnel present were visibly shocked and struggled to comprehend the severity of the behaviour they were witnessing. As professional service providers, I would reasonably expect that your employees are trained to conduct themselves with basic human decency, restraint, and professionalism. What I experienced was not merely unprofessional conduct, but bullying, ************, verbal abuse, misogynistic behaviour, and conduct that borders on ******** assault.I respectfully but firmly request that the conduct of both the driver and the female employee be urgently and thoroughly investigated, and that appropriate disciplinary action be taken. The threats, ************, and verbal abuse directed at me were entirely unprovoked and cannot be dismissed as a misunderstanding.
