My husband and I owe the school money so we decided to do a AOD which of the amount we were paying back was the arrears we owe & school fees combined the school decided on the amount. I notified the accounts lady that my daughter would not be returning to school and that we must not be charged or billed I received a reply noted thank you this was not by our choice we had no time to give notice. I would think because it is a professionally run school they won't charge us. My husband got paid and they had deducted the whole amount including the school fees. I then sent a message to the accounts lady telling her this and her response was that it would be reversed, so I said thank you very much. So I have been waiting for them to pay the school fees back but no funds have been refunded. So I sent her another message saying the money is not back into the our bank account, her response to me was I am not sure as to who made the decision. So as far as I am concerned when my husband left they should have given him a letter stating that before he leaves all money owing to the school must be paid I am sorry to say it was not done. So its a fault on their side so why should we be liable, yes we agreed on paying what we owe we did not agree on paying school fees if my daughter did not attend school. So her reply to me was it was decided that which to my knowledge no one can decide what they going to do with another person's salary which my husband should have been contacted and informed of what they going to do & that money owed to the school should be paid before leaving. As my previous experience a company is not allowed to deduct any money off your account without any type of notification or letter to sign or concent from the account holder. My daughter did not attend school so I should not pay yes the amount that was agreed on for the arrears that's fine. So the school fees taken with no consent nor any type of communication that money must be paid back into my husband's account asap
