Hired Kelvin from Platinum Mixologists for an event. A few days before event he messages to ask if I’ll be providing the glasses and ice. His quote and my full payment included glasses and ice. He says he needs more as he miscalculated. I tell him I’ll give him the extra in cash on the day. I’ve paid the full quote/invoice already I confirm all is in order and he says yes. 20 minutes before the event I get a call from someone saying they can’t make it, I’ve been requesting my money back since and nothing. Says I must wait, no service but I must wait for my refund. No drinks for guests on the day of event and he had time to arrange a replacement in order for service to still happen but instead waits 20 minutes before it starts to let me know can’t make it. Now he says I refused someone that could make it halfway through the event. Uhm, that was your job to arrange from START of the event knowing you could not make it three days prior. I’ve had to refund my client yet no refund forthcoming from Platinum Mixologists. Even offered they could split the refund into 2 but no reply.
