If you want to sit without electricity while paying without fail then sure come stay here. If you value your time and family, stay away from this place. We've been without electricity since Wednesday (13 Dec 2023) and we still don't have it. There was no official communication sent to EVERY tenant. This guy called Francois came Thursday last week here and spoke to a few people in a corner outside the premises. Sending texts, calling, emails etc all getting ignored. On Saturday this Francois person finally responds to an email chain I had started. Basically the only thing he said that mattered was that "I am communicating on WhatsApp, thank you". This is after he told me some weak excuse that the city needs to come and switch the power back on. I then asked why he can't simply send a measly email to everyone and bring them up to date. That's when he reveals his special WhatsApp group to me which I have since been added to. This dude! Obviously I'm not on your special WhatsApp group that's why I'm in the blank. So he was seeing these texts, missed calls and emails but thought he was too precious to even ask for my number and add me to this group of his. Up to now all we know is this is with some mysterious contractor who needs to come and switch the power back on. December groceries? ****ed. Have to spend time going up and down charging powerbanks and backups. There's also someone called Dora.

I would advise you to not even consider looking at this complex when looking for a place to stay around Florida Glen Roodepoort Johannesburg, we have been with no electricity since Wednesday 13/12/23 (10h28) till today Monday 18/12/23, with no hopes of it being restored. They only started communicating with us (the tenants) on Thursday 19/12/23 blaming the situation on The City of Johannesburg saying that hey switched off the wrong complex. Friday, Saturday and Sunday they kept on saying they are still working on solving the problem until today around 17h00 they communicated and said the balance has been cleared meaning they were lying to us this whole time. It was due to their negligence of not paying, that the power was switched off. We have been without electricity for a whole 7 days and mind you it is festive season now our Fridges are fully packed and with this heat everything is ruined and rotten now. They are not making any arrangements to accommodate us or make the situation better, no generators, no solar panels to the rescue. I am so furious at this point and what is most upsetting is the fact that it is not the first time something like this happens in this complex
