I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with DHL International and PostNet Hillcrest on Lynwood. I used PostNet to send a parcel almost two weeks ago, and DHL was responsible for the courier service. My parcel was confiscated by the police, and when I sought help from DHL, they provided contact numbers for the police that didn’t work.
Only after posting a review on Hello Peter did DHL suddenly find the right contacts. They even gave me a personal line to a colonel, which I had never used. To my shock, I later discovered that my personal information was used to arrange a meeting with the colonel at OR Tambo Airport at 8:00 AM today, even though I never contacted this person. This raises serious concerns about identity theft.
When I requested a refund from DHL, the representative handling my case, Itumeleng, claimed that a refund could not be processed directly by them and advised me to get it from PostNet, promising that DHL would credit PostNet. PostNet, however, has refused to issue a refund. The staff member at PostNet who managed my shipment, Dikeledi, was incredibly rude and even hung up on me.
Both DHL and PostNet Hillcrest on Lynwood have shown a complete lack of professionalism and customer care. They not only failed to provide the service I paid for but also mishandled my personal information in a troubling way. I strongly advise avoiding these services due to their untrustworthiness and poor customer service.
