Review of Fetal Exam Experience at Heidi Nolan My wife and I visited Heidi Nolan today for a fetal examination, expecting a professional and supportive experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very different. From the start, we were told to pay upfront, which came as a surprise. My wife reminded the receptionist that she had previously confirmed with Chanel that our medical aid would cover the exam. The receptionist initially claimed that she had documentation proving the claim was submitted and declined, which felt misleading. To clarify, my wife called the medical aid, only to learn that no claim had ever been submitted. Despite this, the receptionist continued to insist the medical aid was at fault, even attempting to discredit them. After the medical aid confirmed no claim had been made, the receptionist changed her story, saying they don’t submit claims to this specific medical aid—information that would have been crucial to disclose when we provided our details upfront. This back-and-forth left my wife stressed and uncomfortable, especially considering the importance of this scan during pregnancy. We expected a professional and compassionate experience, not to be given inconsistent and conflicting information during a sensitive time. This has left us deeply disappointed in the service we received.

Heidi Nolan said that my baby's nose is shorter than usual. I was not going to do the 2nd test with her but she what's app me insisting on how important the scan is and that she will assist me by having me pay the account off. On my final payment she hit me with a R150 admin fee charge on top of the bill. After emailing her begging to remove the admin fee as I have been in touch with her and I made arrangements with her. She emailed me back requesting that I respect her final decision and if I do not settle the admin fee then the account will be handed over. On her 1st statements she sends she had bottom left of the statement "Gods grace is enough". This dissapeares on later statements. Why use Gods name when her grace is not enough for her patients?

hi. If anyone decides to have their detailed sonar done through heidie, please proceed with caution. do not believe anything she says before getting a second opinion. And please do not believe her if she tells you to have a test done and assures you that it is covered. Make sure from your medical aid yourself . If you feel something in your gut trust it. She told myself and husband that our son could have down syndrome based on a short nose bone, one umbilical artery and thick skin on the neck. she had us do a nipt test to check. we felt it was utter nonsense but because she assured us that the test will be covered by our medical aid, and that we should not worry because she knows how discovery works, we went through with the test. we took her word. MY HUSBAND IS STILL TRAUMATISED BY HER TALKING ABOUT TERMINATING THE PREGNANCY OR LIVING WITH A DOWNS CHILD ETC. This woman was over booked that day because she asked us to go see her again the evening to check the babies heart etc. we went back and all of a sudden she says the thick skin could be that the father has thick skin on his neck, and that the short nose could just be because we have short noses in the family. she also said the one umbilical artery is not of concern to her. so she had us do a test for no reason at all. Her conduct was completely unprofessional . The whole experience from the start was terrible. this was last year 2019 in august. My baby is 8 months old, big and beautiful and healthy. Now i am sitting with a bill of 6500 rand which could have been prevented if it weren't for her conduct. The worst part is she refuses to take responsibility for her actions, instead she justifies it. when people do that ,their heart is in the wrong place. aND SHE WILL DO IT AGAIN. In her line of work they need to be very cautious and sensitive and informative. she did not have that with us.
