Prestige auto cars- Umbilo } A 78-year-old woman purchased a vehicle from Prestige Auto Sales in Umbilo that was advertised for R203 000 including fees. She paid the full advertised price in two payments totaling R203 000 to the account provided by the dealership. After receiving the full payment, the dealership informed her that the advertised price was “incorrect” and that the actual price of the vehicle is R230 000. The deal therefore did not proceed and she requested a refund. However, the dealership has not returned her money and she has been repeatedly referred from one person to another without any resolution. This is extremely concerning behaviour towards an elderly customer who paid the full advertised price in good faith. We are requesting the immediate refund of the R203 000 that was paid. If this matter is not resolved urgently it will be escalated further through the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa, the National Consumer Commission and SAPS

VERY unhappy and sad customer. The car I bought from Prestige Auto Sales has turned out to be a complete dud. R35k in repairs later in less than a year (and counting as there is another issue with the front right bearing - it was the left one that had to be replaced 2 weeks ago), plus car hire (whilst being repaired - 8 days) and the cost of flying to PE from Dbn and accommodation to collect the vehicle - it's turning into every car owners' nightmare. And this is not including the Aircon issue that I've had and had to repair. Steve and Kobus - you communicated with me initially on the problems and I think you're sweet enough, but as the costs escalated, and the problems increased, the silence - well - let's just say all I hear is crickets - chirping. I sent numerous emails, tried calling numerous times last month - are those crickets I hear? This is definitely NOT cool guys. Tomorrow I take the vehicle to the mechanic to investigate yet another issue and quote me on yet ANOTHER repair in a 3 month period - this post will be repeated here and elsewhere once I receive that information with all details attached.

Would like to say a special thank you to Karen Gouws and Kobus Willemse from Prestige Auto Sales in Port Elizabeth for the excellent service that they have given me in buying a vehicle from them. From settling my previous vehicle, the sale of my new vehicle, financing and after sales service has been brilliant. On two occasions Kobus has gone out of his way to help, without question or hesitation. Thank you very much and I hope to be doing more business with them in the future.
