Stay far away from Todo Construction which also trades under the name/s Consep (Properties, Builders, Construction) to name a few. These companies are owned by ===== They started building our house in October 2022 and it is still nowhere close to being completed, we have had no choice but to go through a lengthy process of hiring independent inspectors who are NHBRC-approved at great costs to ourselves to get a better understanding of the potential problems with our house. Even the NHBRC who have had several complaints from residents at Redstone Private Country Estate seem to have very little impact on Todo Construction's building practices. Just on our house, there have been 4 findings by the NHBRC against Todo Construction which ended up only being the tip of the iceberg. The latest report we received from Home Inspection S.A. (176 pages), revealed just how bad the construction is, and we will need to spend several hundred thousand Rand to fix this mess. Save yourself a lot of pain, costs and aggravation and view the properties at Redstone Private Country Estate before signing any paperwork with Todo Construction or before the estate's developer RSPCE Devco convinces you otherwise. Unfortunately, at present, you can only build in Redstone Private Country Estate if you use Todo Construction as dictated by the developer and for that reason, I would strongly recommend prospective homeowners look carefully at their options when building or buying in the Hartbee****rt area.

Poor workmanship I would not recommend Todo Construction. View my photos loaded on Google Reviews to judge for yourself. Todo Construction shows as temporary closed on Google reviews but they are still operating in Redstone Private Country Estate, Hartbeestpoort Dam.
I personally would not recommend Todo Construction to build your house. I have dealt with them for a year now at Redstone Private Country Estate, and we have only made it to roof level. Not surprisingly most of the roof needs to be removed and redone due to poor workmanship which seems to be the DeFacto standard for Todo Construction. What can you expect from Todo Construction? Lack of quality control and project management which will lead to building delays and constant rework. Blame will be shifted on subcontractors and/ or you the homeowner, Todo Construction is never at fault. Homeowners need to be aware of Todo Construction attempting to make drawings when work is not completed with promises that you must not worry, they will resolve all outstanding issues later. I had to get the services of a surveyor to prove that my house was not positioned correctly on my stand and that the walls were built skewed which was blatantly obvious to the naked eye, before any form of corrective action was taken. Should you or the financial institution that holds your home/ building loan refuse to make payment due to no progress on the builder's part or incomplete work, you can expect threats from Todo Construction and possibly their lawyers for payment as part of their ************ and bullying practices. If you decide to invest and build a house in Redstone Private Country Estate, you will have no choice but to make use of Todo Construction. I would advise prospective homeowners to get written verification from Todo Construction that your house will be built exactly as per the architect's plan and drawing, otherwise, you might be in for some nasty surprises and additional costs. Please also view other houses being built by Todo Construction in the estate where you are building and ask for homeowners' details so that you can discuss their experiences with Todo Construction to ensure you make an informed decision prior to signing any contracts.
After nearly 2 years I have finally thrown in the towel, Discovery Bank managed to completely change my perception of the Discovery brand and not in a good way. The only service I received recently that came close to matching Discovery Bank must have been Discovery Insure and I have terminated their services as well.

Shocking service from FNB Private Wealth customer service suite the last couple of months has left me no other choice but to move my banking elsewhere. There seems to be a generally lax attitude towards assisting customers for me it included Forex queries whereby FNB Forex misplaced incoming funds from abroad blaming the sending bank and leaving it up to the client to get proof of transfers only to realise the problem lies on FNB's side (The Private Wealth Banker - Kabelo nowhere to assist, with Private Wealth Analyst Shivani trying to assist).

To add insult to injury FNB changed the method of accessing and transferring funds from the USD account (online) with Private Wealth not being able to assist on how to access or transfer funds and blaming FNB Forex for making changes to the online banking app, once again leaving the client to find someone to assist. After I contacted the relevant support desk (took a couple of internal transfers) the problem was resolved without pain or fuss by a very helpful call centre agent.

The latest in a row of epic fails related to Private Wealth service was when I asked for a pre-approved home loan which I requested the 10th of of February and only received an answer the 2nd of March. This after I had to constantly ask for updates (no pro-active feedback received once), with every engagement being as frustrating as the previous, with always another form to complete or another department being blamed for the lack of feedback in this instance FNB Home loans.

This is the third time in five years that I have given FNB the opportunity to finance a home and every single time there seems to be some or other problem, this time round its apparently due to the fact that I earn my salary in foreign currency from abroad (USD) which negatively affect my affordability calculation done by FNB. Fair enough that is FNB`s prerogative but why does it take more than 20 days to get the feedback?

On that happy note in less than 5 working days I will be making use of Nedbank again for the 3rd consecutive home loan, with FNB Private Wealth once again making it nearly impossible for me to consolidate my banking with them, hence my departure to bank that is as serious about my business as I am.

As for the Private Wealth Banker at FNB, I am looking forward to not having to leave messages on your direct line that you simply don`t respond too (you never answer the phone either), or sending messages via the online app which also gets blatantly ignored with the excuse being it takes 48 hours for the message to get to you. I am confident that whatever service I will get from my new bank will be an improvement over what I had to endure these last couple of months.

I enquired into a 3008 advertised in Auto trader for R269k and R229k it turned out to be the same vehicle but two different adds (interesting), what was even more intriguing was the fact that Peugeot Fourways does not allow you to test drive their demo vehicles prior to purchase? What was really the cherry on the cake was the "we will call back in 30 min" to confirm another vehicle that you can test drive and discuss your trade in value, needless to say no follow up from the dealership even after I called the reception to speak to the sales rep, apparently he was busy at that time. I have never owned a Peugeot before but I guess the horror stories of their poor aftersales service must be true judging on this pre-sales experience.

My internet has been down since Friday the 14th of August, I reported the fault to the help desk who asked me to unplug my router, I followed their first line trouble shooting procedure even after I already explained to them that I did so prior to calling them and that the fault is on their side as my error message clearly state DNS Server not found. The agent advised that they would only be able to send a technician out to my house the following Monday, to which I responded that surely they have remote diagnostic and support tools to which she assured me they don't and I would have to wait. I received one email since then stating that a support call was logged and then nothing since then, even after repeated calls by me to them demanding an update on progress made. It is now Wednesday the 19th of August and I still have no resolution, except for a help desk agent telling me that I wasn't at home for the appointment with their technician yesterday. Needless to say no notification was sent to me via email, sms or telephone call and apparently they don't have a system that can prove that they contacted me, but the lady assured me they did....
