I sent Smart Village an email giving them a months' notice to move our wifi from our old house to the new house. I received an email to say this would be done. On following up, two days before the move, the reference number given to me was incorrect and no one could tell me when my installation would be done. We work from home so wifi is a must for my family. As far as I'm concerned I have given Smart Village a months notice so I will move to another service provider if my issue is not resolved today.

I'm writing this as I go into my 27th minute of holding the line trying to reach an operator listening to an automated message about "experiencing a high volume of calls". 1. This is the third time I've had to hold the phone a long time waiting to speak to an operator 2. I've tried to "leave a message to be called back" by the operator and still waiting for that call till today 5 months down the line 3. If you know you experience a high volume of calls at certain times of the month, why have no steps been taken to remedy this issue 4. I'm not on Facebook, please don't send me your automated response Reminds me of when I was still with MTN, looks like only way to solve this is to move to a different provider like I did with my family's phones.

Very bad service. The customer service centre drops calls. The fibre is very weak. Maybe its MTN also providing sub standard service. I call them daily about my fibre. I have a 20 mg line but get 0.3 - 2 mg upload and download.

Logged a call on Saturday, 7 April regarding Dstv issue. Called on Monday to follow-up and was told the call was being escalated to a technician who would be calling me back. Called again 5 hours later and was told that the technician would call and no call was received. Not the first time experiencing bad customer service from Smart Village. You constantly have to follow-up with them, and they take their time attending to your issue... Very poor customer service indeed...

Worst ever service! We’ve been without wifi for the last week and it seems like Smart village do not care and di not have the interest to help! We live in Midfields Midstream and after a load of calls still without any help! I phoned on wednesday and left a message... no one phoned back. I phoned Thursday and was told that a technician will attend to the matter as soon as possible. I called again Friday and was told that I am on the urgent list... still nothing! Phoned again this morning and was told that they can jot get hold of the technician. For ****ing crying out loud!!! We are paying for a service but we don’t have the service!!!

Unfortunately I have to click on a star to add a review. Please note that Smart Village are the worst company to deal with. They rate no stars, a totally useless and fraudulent set up in Cape Town. No response for fault logging - they send a number, six days later no response. Pretoria answers calls, but Cape Town ignores the instruction for a call out completely, so, intercom systems not working for months, wall pad units for exit and entry to building heat up in the sun and then fuse the electricity system. For deliveries to my apartment, or visitors, I have to ask them to call us for access. This situation has gone on for over a year. Emails are ignored, calls to technicians ignored. Emails to Cape Town management - ignored. Mtn you have bought a dud. But you have a responsibility to your clients.
