I am so frustrated with Takealot. I bought my daughter a birthday gift which after a few days stopped working. I logged a return, and Takealot came back to say it would not be replacing the defective item and that I need to order it again. Upon further investigation it was because the supplier had since increased the price of the product. Therefore I would now need to replace the faulty item at a higher price. Terrible. I now purchased a shower head which was great for a few months, and then one morning when I opened water to shower, the head split open. I again trusted Takealot with the replacement only for it to be rejected, and for them to say it was my fault. I have attached the correspondence below. I propose we stop buying on this platform until we get better service. In this economy every rand matters. Very bad service. The customer service centre drops calls. The fibre is very weak. Maybe its MTN also providing sub standard service. I call them daily about my fibre. I have a 20 mg line but get 0.3 - 2 mg upload and download.
