I purchased the equipment with the Value of R36 000 from a dealer who requested finance from Challenor. My concerns are as follows: 1. 3 weeks back I found out that they have charged me almost 100% interest of the amount the equipment was purchased with R66 000. And I brought it to their attention they sent me an e-mail advising that the bill was incorrect and sent some form i needed to sign to rectify the matter. and that the installment amount will be R400 less. 2. On the attachment they sent they stated that the interest should be 24.68% however the total amount for interest was almost 50% of the R36 000 the equipment was purchased with-R15 820.33. I queried this with them and requested an explanation of how could 50% be calculated as 24.68%. I Explained my reservations and their response was "The R37 207.50 is the R36,000 for your purchase plus the Initiation fee of R1,050 plus VAT - Which is also in accordance with the National Credit Regulations. The interest rate is correctThe interest covers the Full Term of 36 months (3 Years)" I then wrote to them again: "So this interest rate is 24.68% in your calculations? How is half of the R36 000 a 24.68%? How did you get to decide that 50% of the amount is 24.68%?Even if it covers 36 months it doesn't change the fact that I am being charged almost half of the amount agreed on." I was ignored since then until today. 3. I requested a copy of a contract sometime back and the lady who assisted me said it wil be sent and until today I never received anything. I guess they didn't want me to pico this fraudulent behaviour up when a copy was not sent. 4. Challenor is affecting my credit negatively and i want this rectified within 24 hours. I refuse to pay 100% and refuse to pay 50% of interest. I will not be reaped off like that. Rectify or you will be Contacted by the ombudsmen and my legal representative. Regards,
Good day Please remove NJ Basse from the service desk as justice is not served at the hands of this man. He can be put out there on the streets chasing after and arresting criminals, even so I doubt very much that justice will ever be served in his hands. Here is what happened... I went in explained that I've been to the station already 3 times certifying copy of my ID and it is not accepted by the company registration as it requires a commissioner 's name/s and surname in full and clearly written. This officer just took my page without even verifying by checking the original documents he put a stamp, signed with his initials and writing that you can't even read and hands it over to me. He then I formed me after that he has been serving SAPS for ages and not even once was he required to write his name. Left me there and attended other people but for the time I've been standing there waiting for him to get done and come back to me I can confirm that he has been of no assistance to anyone. The worst painful and annoying service than mine is the one he gave a young man who got released from holding cell in the morning 19/11/2018 who is accused of domestic violence by her girlfriend who refuses to vacate his premises. He had a box of a phone he allegedly says belonged to him which was destroyed and stolen by this girlfriend. He went to police station to seek help in recovering his device and had protection order against the girlfriend and requested that they ask her to go. Basse ignored every word that came out of this desperate young man and requested proof of a device which is stolen and destroyed. This young man asked how am I gonna get proof when she took the device. Basse said sorry I won't be able to help. This young man cried and said, if it was a woman you were going to do something like you did last night when she came to report me accusing me I had hit her when i didn't. It's me, a man who has a protection order against her, whose been abused by her and now you are doing nothing about it. He wanted to speak to someone suprsuperior or their e-mail address Basse refused by saying If you want to speak to him you will be here at 8am tomorrow. The young man said he is going to work and can't miss work twice Basse didn't care less. He went to the other one whom they attended whist exchanging words with this upset young man. I must also state that he has no privacy at all, he shouted with a loud voice and everyone at the stay in could here what everyone was there for. This man lacks peoples management s****s, he abuses his powers and i fear what he could do to anyone disagreeing with hiM. He is plain rude and mean. if you ask me if he asssited any members of community yesterday I would say I am 100% sure nobody was assisted except of cause certification for which he failed to assist with in my case and demanded company registration to go see him. The service desk requires people handling etiquette for which Basse lacks. It's a pity you have no voice records at the station otherwise you would hear and see the chaos this man created. I am disappointed in our public service. I don't have the details of this young man, I urge you to please find him and help this poor young man. He was arrested and spent the night on the 18.11.12018 and was realised the next day. He needs help. As for me, I had to ask my husband to take time off his busy schedule and drive to Mitchells plain to certify same documents Harare police station failed to and we got assitance. I guess the training Basse and the lady who assisted in Mitchell's plain branch were different. our community will suffer the injustices in the hands of this man. Help urgently, this is a cry to the department of justice to do something before its too late. Regards, D
I went to Engen in khayelitsha yesterday evening 19 November 2018 to purchase snacks and drinks and the service i recieved was an unbelievable nightmare. I was assisted by the lady with a name badge Ziyanda. I took snacks and drinks and at the counter drinks scanned more than the price on the fridge... I informed her and she said no the drinks are not on special and i told her the price on the fridge is the actual price of the drinks not special. She looked at me and laughed at me and with a loud voice which alerted everyone in the shop of our conversation she said... unfortunately this is the price it scans and it is either you take it with it or leave it. I was shocked and asked why is the price there she responded by saying "I will remove it". and at the time she didn't stop laughing. I asked are you laughing at me?! She scanned the snacks and just responded by saying "so are you taking these drinks or not" I said i am taking these drinks with the price on the fridge she said come back tomorrow morning at 8am and speak to the merchandisers not me. She then continued to to ask for my number for some competition when purchasing snacks and laughed. When I told her her service is horrible she laughed and just said next customer. The old man who was behind me was shocked as well and even commented by saying i am still address this lady with so much respect yet she treat's me like no customer as if she is doing me a favour by assisting me. I am still shocked by the service she gave. She doesn't deserve to deal directly with clients. She is the worst cashier or attendant ever. Could someone train her to do her job better and never ever laugh at customers again. Regards, Dorcas
