Please don't buy from them. They are a **** spent R600 with them, you never receive your order, their place of business doesn't exist and their phone lines don't work.
I have 6 Samsung air conditioners, 5 Samsung Televisions, 4 Top of the range Samsung phones, 3 Samsung fridges, a Samsung freezer, a Samsung Dishwasher, 2 Samsung Microwaves and 4 Samsung monitors. I purchased a top of the range 32inch monitor from Samsung in December 2021. Three months later the remote control is faulty that comes with the monitor. I took the remote to a service centre where they said I have to bring the entire monitor in with the remote. Reason, it's Samsung policy. They did offer to come to my house to test the remote on the monitor for a call out fee which is almost the cost of a new remote. After escalating many times I just received a call back telling me the same thing from a senior escalating agent telling my I don't understand Samsung policy and there is nothing they can do. This remote works on all smart tv's and could be tested on any of the TV's in the repair centre. I am not prepared to risk carting around an R8000 monitor that there is nothing wrong with for a technician to replace a faulty remote. I am also not prepared to pay a call out fee for a technician to come to my premises to test the remote. You just lost a loyal customer for the past 20 years. I will also make sure that nobody I know ever purchases Samsung products with your after care service.
So Cell C go search for my previous reviews on Hello Peter to see the problem. Basically you moved me over from the 66c calling plan onto the all in one plan. After being escalated to your mysterious back office they lied to me and told me that the 66c plan had been discontinued. It was a blatant lie as it is still very much active on cell C. I have tried to migrate back, your call centre has tried to move me back and nobody seems to be able to. You replied to me with my last reveiew and I have had no response seems now you are just ignoring me. On my way to buy an MTN sim card.
I was automatically moved over to the all in one plan from the 66c calling plan last year. There seems to be a problem in the Cell C system because I used to be a Cell C contract client. After hours on the phone last year I was called back by a supervisor who blatantly lied to me and told me that Cell C no longer offers the 66c calling plan and that is why I can't move back. Last week I spoke to someone about it who showed me they were on it and I was lied to. So I called the call center back again who then told me it is because of the sim card I have in my phone and I must go to a Cell C store and get another sim card that is not an all in one sim card and do a sim swap. I went to 5 stores who all told me that they only sell the all in one sim card. Finally I found a store that had one normal ultra bonus sim card had to pay R20 for it and did the sim swap to have exactly the same problem. Every person I speak to has a different answer and none of the stores have ever heard of this. No wonder Cell C is going under. Their staff and stores have no idea what they are doing. I've had enough of this and am going to get an MTN sim card today. They might be more expensive but at least they know what they are doing. If you would like to see the case you can look for the previous review I wrote about this same matter.
I am on prepaid on cell c. I used to have a contract with them about 8 years ago before migrating to Vodacom. I have now ported back to Cell C and was on the 66c prepaid plan. Without asking me Cell C changed me to the all in one plan. I have tried on self service to change back. I get a message that it failed. I call your call centre and your prepaid department says they still see me on contract. Your contract department can't help because they say I can't tell them the last 4 digits of the credit card that expired 6 to 8 years ago. A week ago your prepaid department said they would esculate it for me as now its showing my number as permanently deactivated I have tried to post my number to a different network and I can't to do that because cell c won't release the number. I have never seen such incompetence in all my life!
I want to join Discovery Bank. However, after being given many inconsistence answers it finally came out that after spending R25 000 on your credit card you only earn 1 mile for every R100 instead of every R15 or R20 (I still could not get a proper answer as to whether it is R15 or R20 per mile). I cannot understand how Discovery can penalise you for using the card they give you. I wonder how many other customers they are losing or how many people are signed up without reading the complicated little footers about discovery miles.
I originally had 4 contracts with cell C and when it was time for an upgrade, their pricing was far more than MTN for the identical phone and package which I was looking at. At the time Cell C said to me that their pricing is fixed and if I don't like it I must go to MTN. Which is exactly what I have done with all four of my contracts. When I cancelled my last contract I received a call from Cell C appalled at the fact that they did not match the offer and they assured me it would not happen again should i consider coming back to Cell C. It is now time for my wife to upgrade her contract with Cell C. She is looking at the IPhone 6s plus which MTN is offering at R729 per month [URL Removed] for a similar contract with the same phone Cell C wants over R1000 per month. The consultant I have been dealing with has been very nice and helpful unfortunately she has taken it to management and their attitude is still that the customer must go to MTN if he doesn't like our deals. I cannot believe that Cell C is happy to lose its 5th contract to MTN.
