So disgraceful and leaving such a bad taste... I just had to cancel a debit order for an elderly lady, 86 years old for a funeral policy taken out in 2003. For all these payments over 20 years which went up annually, her return will be a mere R5000 for her funeral. That is not even a 5% of what funeral costs are now a days. What a disgrace! Could no one at Sanlam inform her to change to better policy which will be enough for a funeral one day? There is basic 4 pages of correspondence on this matter from signing on. Does the word INTEGRITY means NOTHING to SANLAM? This is why there is absolutely no trust in the services. Look at their ratings and I bet they are not even ashamed of it. A rating of 1 is already too much. Their call centre can also close. No assistance there either. A 87 old woman must submit a letter for cancellation of the policy. NO SANLAM, enough is enough. Cancel it yourself. How many elderly people are there who are in the same situation? Life expectancy has increased and therefore they only fill the pockets of these companies who can't care less? We need to establish a consumer/customer unity and take these matters on. Shame on SANLAM!!
Terrible experience so-far. Refuse to replace or pay out an one of 3/10 bronze sculpture after it was broken during a household moving company. They prefer to repair it. Who on earth repair an art piece with investment value? The value will never be the same again. This will now cause me to follow the path to the Adjudicator and a civil legal action. I paid R12000 for only the insurance during this move and the piece was noted on the list. Why then not cover correctly? Any one else having the same bad experience with AON? I’ll never recommend them for insurance purposes and will advice the moving company, Biddulphs as such as AON is appointed by them.
Good service these days is far and in between, but then there are the exceptional and special ones like Hello-Garden-Route, which is a pet-friendly accommodation service provider, own and run by Carene Daniel. Carene is an outstanding service-orientated hospitality manager. She went out of her way to make our stay in Wilderness during February with a four legged kid, very special. Zimba is a rescue kid with special diabetic needs and there is no way we can leave her home anymore with a caretaker. Carene was great and understood the situation. We can recommend her for all your tailor-made holidays in the garden route up to Cape Town. She will find you exactly what you looking for. Thank you again Carene. See you Deo volente in November!
