Once you join Dropbox and supply your credit card information they will keep billing your no matter what. I received an E-mail from Dropbox on the 11th of September 2021 stating that my plan will not renew. I tried to cancel my subscription prior to this date but the debit order went off my account in any event. Now, in September 2022 the debit order for R2,000+ went off again. There is no way of stopping Dropbox.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge from the Vodashop in Brooklyn Mall on 31 May 2016.

Approximately one and a half weeks later the phone constantly shut down by itself. I visited the Vodashop on the 15th of June 2016 (two weeks later). I gave my contact details to the manager on the 15th as he told me that he would take the matter up with head office and get back to me. I have not heard from him since. I then went back to the Vodashop and was told that the phone has to be sent away for repairs and the time frame should be approximately 1 week. I received the phone back from Vodacom on the 20th of July 2016 (a month later). The phone’s battery was now damaged, although fully charged the battery life is approximately 20 minutes. I now owned this brand new phone for nearly two months but had it in my possession for a week and a half.

The way Vodacom handled the matter is unacceptable and is in breach of the Consumer Protection Act. Unfortunately it is impossible to take on these big guys and a Vodacom customer should accept the fact that if something went wrong with a device or anything else they are in for a lot of pain, travel time and wasted costs.
