I am extremely disappointed in MTN and will certainly never ever do business with them ever again. In 2023, I signed up for a home router contract which was cancelled a month later and even in that cancellation process I had received appalling service being sent from pillar to post. A year later I start getting unauthorised debit orders from MTN of small values and each time I have complained directly to them with no satisfaction. This is the 4th time I am addressing this issue without any resolution from MTN. My bank account has been debited an amount of R59.98 without permission or authorisation to do so (this is the 4th time). I cancelled these service in August of 2023 and yet my account continues to be debited and I am no longer a client and quite frankly this is ***** and MTN should not have kept my account details to allow this to happen again. I had initially sent an email as attached in the below trail requesting for answers and MTN has never gotten back to me or given me a contingency plan to ensure this doesn't happen again I am loosing a lot of money as I am constantly being charged bank charges by my bank to reverse and cancel this debit order on my side but MTN waits a while and debits again. I request compensation for this inconvenience as I have already made this request multiple times. I need this to be permanently resolved. I am tired of addressing the same issue and need serious intervention now as this has been going on since November 2024. It's honestly unacceptable. It has honestly been the most horrific experience ever and clearly investigations need to happen to see who is taking these monies.

In June of 2023 , I received a call from MTN telesales agent who sold me a contract home router for an amount of R420 and assured me my account will be debited at the end of July on my chosen debit date. However this was all a lie and as I was debited a amount around R640 at the end of June and when I wanted to cancel my policy around the 28th of June I was passed from pillar to post. I spoke to the telesales team who confirmed that the debit date was July and in addition confirmed the sales agent "round off the amount to R420 it's actually R422) quite shocking if you ask me , they then transferred me to the billing team to get this rectified and the lady refused to assist me or even escalate my matter to a manager , she said "hang up and a manager will call you back" to date I am still waiting for a manager's calls. I have sent 5 emails , to the customer care and cancellation department and no one is taking accountability and trying to reach a resolution. I refuse to pay any cancellation fees as no one has tried to assist in clarifying or resolving the issue. I was sold a contract with inaccurate information provided and no honesty from their path. I am very disappointed and disgusted at the treatment one receives from the employees at MTN. For such a big company, their customers are not important.
I have never received any joy from Capitec Bank. I recently logged a complaint with the regarding money that never came out of the spark ATM and trust me they declined my refund stating that the money came out (mind you it's only R150 plus bank charges but they not even willing to negotiate). I logged a complaint in September and they have only ever called me once to give me feedback that they not going to refund me, but then again what am I expecting from such an incompetent bank. I've previously experienced them with my loan and credit card disputes once again no JOY. I'll just be closing my account with them because honestly I don't want to do business with a company that doesn't pride themselves on delivering customer service. They should just call me and close my account because I'm honestly done and do not have the energy to deal with them anymore.
I went to withdraw money from their ATM using my Capitec bank card. The machine switched off due to loadshedding at around 12:00. The money did not dispense and I waited for the generator to kick in when the machine went back online the money still did not come out (I was forced to make another withdrawal). My bank Capitec logged a investigation and they have declined refunding me claiming that the money dispensed, why would I make another withdrawal of it did? I am honestly disappointed at how their processes work and I question if thorough investigations tool place or it was just easy to say the money came out. A complete scam , seeing other reviews makes it a lot worse, how could this even be their brand?
<p>I was just debited by Capitec and the money was not enough for the agreed debit amount. Secondly I need that debit reversed and debited on the date I agreed on. You can not just take money from people account. I agreed to pay from my salary not any payment that comes in to my account. </p>
<p>Received terrible customer service for the simplest request ever, then they even told to pay arrears because they can't help , how pathetic. Truly disgusted. I have an outstanding loan with these people and I'm requesting for a date change , firstly branch consultant don't represent themselves as the brand and customer service representatives tell me to pay extra because they incompetent.</p>
