I bought the full range of products on Valentines day special at a mall in Emalahleni. Only after the sale had gone through did the agent tell me that I need to boil each pack after use in order to reuse. I felt totally ripped off. Eventually when home in Cape Town, I tried using the product... It warmed up nicely but is a huge schlep to boil. The neck and shoulder pack is huge and you need a big pot of water. Lots of electricity etc. And then it just solidified on its own again so now I have to bring that big pot of water to the boil again. Sales pitch is deliberately misleading. What a waste of money.
Jason Green of Fortress Technical Services quoted us around R11000 for a 8 camera security system in August 2018. He required a R9000 deposit before he would do the job. We duly paid the deposit on 22 Aug 2018...and then he never pitched to do the installation. Everytime we contacted him he had one excuse after the other...and eventually when we confronted him for the umpteenth time he said he has had problems and will not be able to do the job. He promised to pay us back in January (he said he got another big job) but we have still not had any payment and it is March 2019 already. He has conned a lot of people in our neighbourhood as well...people have lost large amounts of money or he has just not finished jobs. What makes it worse is that we were ready to trust him with security of our home - and he has done this. In the meantime we are vulnerable to criminals - our neighbours have been attacked twice in the last 6 months.

I moved into a new home at the end of March 2016. A month before that I filled in all the required paperwork to take over the Telkom line of the previous owner. All appeared to be going well. ONce we had moved in we needed to moved our internet/data line from telkom to Afrihost who was our previous service provider. I called Telkom....no problem they said...I just had to email required cancellation forms and ID doc to their email address and it would take them a week or two to move the service to the holding pool for Afrihost. I eventually received a notification from Telkom on 11 April stating that it had moved to the holding pool and so I informed Afrihost. However, Afrihost said that our line was not there. So, I had to phone Telkom again....they would say the line was available to Afrihost and Afrihost could not find it ...but they would not talk to each other. At the same time our line was cut - the previous owner continued being billed for our line and had not paid it as she was unaware of it. We continued being billed for our old line. After numerous calls to 10210 they told me the only way to sort out the mess was to go to a telkom store, which I duly did. When I got to the store they said they could not help me...I had to call 10210. Sooooo frustrating. Eventually I got someone to help me who said that the billing would not transfer to our name until the data line had been moved to Afrihost. So, since April I have been phoning telkom to see what is the status of our order - and no one can help me. They all just say they don't know why the service is not activated. They promise to phone me back or email me after they have spoken to their supervisor....but they never do. I now phone Telkom at least once a week to see if someone will assist. The Telkom people are all friendly and helpful ...but nothing ever happens. It seems that there is no one I can escalate this to or who can help me. In the meantime I am paying money into the previous owner's telkom account so that she doesn't have to pay it all.. And I am continuing to pay for a line that is not mine. And I am still not using my ISP - Afrihost. One of the Telkom agents even gave me their supervisor's email address (even though he was not allowed to). The supervisor did not even bother to reply to my email. I just don't know where to go from here!! It has been such an unpleasant experience...short of cancelling our line and contract with Telkom and then requesting a new line I just don't know. This truly is Hellcom!!
