I use to swear by this bank but more and more I am not sure!!! I put in a claim (lost my phone on a hike 23 March 2025) called to open a claim. Got the automated reply. They case is apparently with one Mr Phelani or something like that. I know this because I've had to call several times and each time, he is not available, not at his desk... Will call back but NEVER has this ghost of a person made contact with me, not even ONCE. Not even a courtesy email to say I am your claims handler, I have received your documents, I will update you.... NOTHING. Like I am not even asking for a picture of this person, a courtesy email to confirm existence AT THE LEAST. I suppose I am expected to call them again and ask what is going on!! Nah... Would certainly not recommend FNB INSURANCE at this point!!! Its wild because on previous claims, more so VEHICLE INSURANCE, they are prompt, efficient. They communicate all steps and resolve the claim in less than 48 hours (within the 48 they would have called you, sent you details of assessors and the rest is in your court)....
I previously wrote a review, I had bad tasting water and got really upset about it because, I just wanted to drink my water. aQuelle reached out in less than 24 hours to better understand the problem. They explained how their water processes work and why one would sometimes come across a change in the smell or taste of the water. I will say the explanation was clear, the representative who called was friendly and professional and my faith in aQuelle has been restored. (Thank goodness because the thought of trying to find a new brand of Spring Water that wont set off my paranoia was daunting). aQuelle arranged for the collection of the problematic water I had purchased and replaced same beyond expectation. It feels good to feel like a valued customer. I really just want to continue enjoying your water, it the brand my friends and family trusts.
I have purchased several 5l bottles, from Checkers on Jean Avenue and more and more I am coming across this foul smelling (like sewage or a drain-like scent) and horrible tasting water. Please do not reply with your generic contact us on Facebook and the website story. Can you just reply with the reason for this nasty water. aQuelle is my favourite because it has retained consistency and not had bad publicity like Valpre and other brands. What is the reason for this horrible tasting water??? Should we be worried? Should we probe for an investigation into whether or not is it in fact Natural Spring Water? Please reply with an answer and not the generic, detached response
Absa Vehicle finance has opted to restructure or capitalize my account WITHOUT MY CONSENT... I cannot understand how a capitalization of R3757 (which I paid) results in 2 additional installments.... ***.... I have been emailing and calling and still,.... NO RESOLVE.... I am being told about capitalization... I wonder how many people this is happening to, more so the ******** or oblivious. One must find do some social media posts and find out.
I was faced with a challenge, let's just say my car has been immobilized, creating a potentially explosive situation. Thankfully from the reception of Aus Ouma to the friendly (her smile will defuse you) service adviser Ms Emily Mthini we managed to navigate a stressful situation. Emily advised that we speak with the manager Norman Hill and try to find an amicable mid-point solution. Norman was calm, he listened (needless to say I don't believe in rants and raves because the problem is the situation not the other person), he did his due diligence and reverted with a solution that honestly restored my faith in the dealership and the brand. "The best or nothing." Oh I will mention Ruddy as well because he is not the sales man who disappears after a sale, I can still call and ask question one year later. And he won't run when you remind him of things. The car will be repaired. Lets just hope I did not count the proverbial chickens before hatch-day. 🤣 (stay tuned). Overall, I commend the management and the team They took accountability and we found a solution together.
Very helpful assistance from Zola. He took the initiative to call me without my having to ask and walked me step by step through the processes. He was particularly patient with me and his attitude was really cheerful. Happy customer... I would definitely recommend Hostafrica.

Five stars to Siphiwe Hlophe from Staffing Solutions and by extension five stars to FNB. I am likely to recommend FNB by virtue of the service received from Mr Hlophe and his team.
